Default WAY off topic

This is going to be way off topic, but it DOES
relate to the sp swaps.

Talked to my wonderful MIL last night and she
asked me how would I feel about taking a family
cruise HER TREAT!!!!!

It will be an Alaskan Cruise!!!

We will be going in July, and DH and I will have to
get U.S. Passports, this is all providing that DH will
want to go, but hell if he doesn't I will tell mom to
heck with him I will gladly go.

I asked Timbo last night if he would want to go, and
he must be up to seeing Alaska as a tourist this time
because he went to his computer and started checking
out the process for getting passports.

Happy Dance!!!!!!!!!!

Sooooooo if we DO take this cruise with my in laws I
might not be joining the sp swap UNLESS I can be lucky
enough to have everything ready to go early in the month
(depending on the departure date).

Louise, how exciting! You will have a ball and so happy that DH is going!!!
Why on earth do you need a passport? As far as I know Alaska is still part of the USA.

I believe the Alaska cruise may stop in Vancouver, BC. That may be why a passport is needed. I know we get a lot of cruises coming through here.

you only need a birth certificate to cruise to alaska even though it goes to canada. i am a budding cruise queen (10 down and counting). also you can get a US passport card to cruise with which is cheaper (about $55) and faster than getting a regular passport. all of the document information you will need will be located on the website of the cruise line you will travel on.

louise above all enjoy the cruise and remember to take a really large data card for your camera for picture taking. the alaskan cruise is just beautiful!!!!!

I had trouble getting on this site a couple of days ago. Said that there was no internet connection and that went on for several hours. But other internet sites worked so I will figure that it's the QB that was messed up. Otherwise, everything runs normal for me now. No troubles like others have been saying or discussing like doing very short PM's or such.

Sometimes the site is a little slugglish and buggy, but ... that's life. Nothing is perfect. Especially me!

On a happy note ... both packages are out for delivery!
