Fayzer - cataract procedure is a piece of cake. The gurney barely stops in the OR and then you're done. Absolutely no discomfort at all. You get used to the drops after the first few days. Make sure you bring dark glasses for going home because you will feel just like a vampire in the sunlite -- so brite!!! You will be a bit sun sensitive afterwards so splurge for a "good" pair of shades. And don't be discouraged the first few days after -- it takes several months to really heal. But when you do you will wonder how you ever managed before.
You ladies make me feel so much better about this procedure. I am now looking forward to the change. Do you think I will be able to sew during those weeks afterwards?

Please check out the wonderful pkg I received from Quercus Rubra. The post office tried their best to keep it from getting here, but it made it -- contents intact and none the worse from wear (oh, maybe a couple smashed Milky Ways; but that's ok). Anyway, she read my list and sent me exactly what I needed. I wanted homemade -- she made a great star table-topper, fat pin cushion, and a tissue holder for my purse. I wanted thread -- she found the exact same kind and color I use and am running out of. Patterns -- already have the brain cells grouping into several project ideas. Fat quarters -- perfect for the quilt I'm collecting materials for. Chocolate and iced tea mix -- already working on them (and the squashed Milky Ways taste no different from the whole ones, though I better try a few more to be sure...) Table topper looks great in my bedroom under an antique lamp.

Thanks again for a very personalized package of useful surprises. And thank you for the time and talent you put into the table mat, pin cushion, and holder. I feel very special.

That is on wild and crazy busted up package. I am amazed all that wonderful stuff made it there. I just ordered those white heavy poly bubble bags on Amazon. Plastic ships cheaper even pirority mail and it is stronger that those cardboard mailers.

You can get the flat rate bubble envelopes free from the post office, but you have to order them online and they deliver to your house. They are now made with a plastic outside and are 9 1/2 x 12 1/2. I still wrap the flap and edges with wide clear tape. Also one strip around the outside in the middle - supposedly protecting the address but really holding it all in. The new plastic envelopes cost just a little more to ship than the flmsy cardboard ones, but I think worth it.

I so agree with you. I ordered the flat rate padded envelopes and love them for my ebay stuff. For my secret pal, I have to use a medium flat rate box to hold all their stuff.

Nancy.... I sentthis puppy out on the 17th and after Monday when I didn't see that you hadn't gotten it yet, I was making calls to my little village P.O.and been on it's untrackable path ever since. It appears that it made it to LA. on the 19th. but decided it missed the cold wather or something 'cuz from there it went to Illinois!!!

I'm sooooo glad it got there albeit almost a week late. I was starting to panic and had already contacted Lori. I'm glad that I take pictures of each package before sealing it. I'm happy to report that everything made it. YEAH!!!!! 'Cuz that sure is one mangled envelop.

LOL. I'm glad you liked your goodies.
