With my work schedule, I don't get this updated as much as I'd like. Thanks for being patient with me.

To answer a previous question, no, there was no particular 'order' to the trips or color, etc. - completely scrappy and they're going to look fabulous, gals. The next swap is coming from Moda Bake Shop. So many great ideas from that site. It's the Simply Woven quilt block by Jessica Kelly.

My question to the group: I was thinking of doing a floral theme block but am open to suggestions. Christmas would be very pretty even though it would be past Christmas. 30's? Civil War? Give me ideas!

Jane, I like the idea of both the 30's and the floral. Also like batiks but Sept's was batiks so I don't know if anyone would like to do that again. I'm going to try a test block tomorrow just for fun!

Floral as in the same color throughout with blenders or any floral? Guess I'm asking if you are going to pick a color, say pink flowers and blenders, for a controlled scrappy or just totally another scrappy?? Gees Jane, sorry I don't know if I'm getting my question across or not, too tired tonight I guess...maybe you can tell what I'm talking about

Oh, my, Jane! That would be lovely in floral. Nice choice! The example in the tutorial looks so modern and fresh with the white background.

If we did a 'controlled' scrappy in floral, what color(s) would the group want to do? For background, I'm thinking neutral, off-white. How does that sound?

I keep looking at that block trying to imagine how it would look with 15 people doing all florals and then 6 different florals per block. It's just not registering to me for some reason. The example with the jelly rolls you'd have the same fabrics throughout the quilt. Scrappy but still co-ordinated I guess. I can imagine for a swap using all black and white prints with a white or red and white prints with white as an example, then the whole quilt would have something in common even though it might have 90 different "black and white" prints. Does that make sense? Just a thought.....I'm still trying to visualize.
