August Secret Pal Swap CLOSED
#83
Putting your name and maybe the state on the back of a magazine sounds like a good idea. Then whoever gets the magazine could post where it's been.I love your idea Wine Woman!I don't mind used items or regifted items either.I buy alot of my own items for my use at yard sales and auctions etc. I guess it comes from being raised poor.I would never regift a handmade item. That is something made with you in mind and comes from the heart.Have a great day and hope the rest of you get your swaps today. We are in Va and almost home, one more VW event this coming week end and then I get home with all the goodies I picked up on the trip for my SP to be.
Of course, I picked up a few things for ME like 2 15-91's and a 301....but who's counting sewing machines, right????
And my birthday is this month....I'll be oh, too old, let's just say......
As far as things to put in the box: I pick up postcards on my trips and enclose those. I like to put in a note about where I live and what it is like. Some folks have enclosed cookbooks from yard sales, thrift stores or personal collections. Books are great as are quilting magazines and leaflets or patterns. Hand made things are fun. Some have made jewelry. Fat quarters. fabric pieces. kits. Rulers. Pins, seam rippers, Harbor Freight cutting blades.
I am always looking out for things on close out at Walmart, Tues. Morning, TJ Maxx, LQS, Hobby Lobby, Joann's or Hancocks.

I would never give away a gift that someone had taken the time to make for me.
For all my Secret Pal's I don't mind if you can't use something I send, I will not be offended if you regift- specially magazines specially if there isn't anything you are interested in. It might be kind of fun if we put our name on the back to see how far a magazine actually goes around, if you decide to send it on. I might be offended if I make you something and I see that it is regifted. LOL  :hunf:[/quote]
