Yes, this! I used to make a lot of donation quilt for NICU preemies and received many blocks off various sizes. This way you do not take the points off and it also hides the fact they are different sizes.

Janice, that floppy turned out very nice. It's a very fun pattern and the alternating light/dark makes for a lot of "movement"
My number one way to deal with uneven sized blocks is what Sewbiz recomended. I've also done it where I only add sashing to two sides, and then trim them all the same. Some of the sashing is gong to be slightly wider, but after quilting and washing, it's very hard to tell where the slightly wider strips are.

Back to the chicken coop. Can’t seem to escape. For AnnaQuilts. And these chickens seem to have played musical chairs while I wasn’t looking. I’m sure they are in different places than when they started!
