I'm waiting for 10 more and then they will be coming home to you. They've been lounging in my guest room long enough.

For those of you who are eagerly awaiting your blocks, here's an update.
I am waiting for only three more packages, and I have a notice that one of those is awaiting pick-up at the post office. Perhaps the other two will arrive today also, or tomorrow latest. I have been assured that all of them are in transit now.
So, by the end of the week, they should all be on their way back home, A WEEK AHEAD OF SCHEDULE!!! [insert happy dance] [/happy dance]
I truly appreciate that everyone stayed on task and got them in on time. I can't even think of enough superlatives to describe these beautiful blocks and I'm sure we will all have gorgeous batik quilts in the near future. Thank you for entrusting me with this project.
Of course, we will want to see pictures of your quilts, too.
Now, I must tell you a funny story. One of my mail carriers is a middle aged woman. Last week one day, she saw me in the yard and got out of the truck with that day's arrival of squishy envelopes. She said, "alright, I just have to ask, is all of this stuff fabric??" (there are just as many deliveries from fabric.com, so what was her first clue?) I explained what we were doing, and even opened a couple envelopes for her to see. She was very impressed, and said she would like to join us some day, and wishes all of us the best in making our quilts. Just thought you'd like to know. You never know where a quilter or would-be quilter is lurking!

Thanks for the update. Remember, without you there would not have been such a wonderful and well organized swap. After seeing all the photos you sent, I'm sure all of us agree no matter what dozen or more we receive, we will have stunning quilts. Thanks also for the great story about your USPS carrier. You're right, no one knows where the next new quilter will come from.

It has been awhile since I checked this web site but heard from my sister, Valerie, that our blocks might arrive earlier than planned.
Think of our poor postal carriers who will have to deal with all of us next week waiting at the door for a possible "squishy" delivery!
