Thank you Petthefabric. Your Kaffe blocks will add a great modern zing to the quilt

The major rule everyone must follow is to make a 12 1/2 inch square block, or as reasonably close as you can get to that goal. And makers determine the block they want to make. If anyone has questions about an f8, reach out to the owner or to me. Chances are you won’t be the only one who has the question. There are no such things as silly questions on the boom threads. Anyone not wishing to go directly to the other swappers in a pm can email me and I’ll get the answer for you.

The hard part is done, all the prep and mailing procedures. Now you just have to get your F8s and see what block they tell you to make. Funny how fabrics can speak to you! And most of all, have fun playing!
Reposting post 124. It seems the only major rule is a 12 1/2 inch block. This is more in response to a post on the Azaleas.

Anna quilts. Here is a photo of the drawing and fabrics I’m going to use for your block. Take a look at the topmost fabric. It reads as Aqua but is more blue. What I really like about it is the symbols remind me of the petroglyphs and hieroglyphics we’ve seen throughout the Southwest. What do you think of that fabric?

this is a funny post coming after the one Anna just did. Not intentionally. I’m just getting everything ready for my trip

Sounds and looks great! Thank you mjpEncinitas. I appreciate the thought and care put into these blocks by everyone. My girls and I are following along and looking at all the blocks in the gallery for grandma's quilt. All the blocks are beautiful and perfect. I know I can over think things and worry if the block I make is the right one.

I was able to finish two more blocks. I think some of the pictures do not show the purple adequately but it is less blue and matches the purple in the fabric. NZquilter, I hope you like the dark purple background also in addition to the white. I just wanted to break it up a little.

They are both wonderful! Thank you, Anna!

Nice blocks for NZ, Anna! And MJP, your plan for Anna's block looks awesome. The Native American quilt is going to be a showstopper, for sure!

Well, I was up til about 2 last night... sewing and unfortunately posting to the wrong thread! Here are the Begonia blocks I posted in the wrong place.

These are "Three and Six' for JayneW, Dancing Star for Hav4, Windblown Square for NZQuilter, and Garden of Eden and Saran's Twirl, both for Petthefabric. (I have since edited Jayne's block to show better contrast.)
