QuiltingLawyer, It's up to you when you open, your birthday your way!
I wait because I'm a Christmas baby & it gets mighty hectic around here then & I like to color code them as I open them which also helps me find duplicates that go in another pile (doesn't happen often though, which still amazes me!).
hugs,
dj

You know, QuiltingLawyer, these are your "little packages". You can open them any time you want !! I always think I am going to open and sort as I go, but end up waiting and having a major sorting day. I use the little squares by color so for me, it makes sense. Just revel in the anticipation of all the little surprises. Isn't this fun!

Quilting Lawyer, you don't have to wait! LOL. It's your birthday and it's what you want to do. I like opening the envelopes all at the same time and having a huge flood of color all over the table or floor when I do it. I don't generally open the individual packets until I'm ready to sort them by color into my existing stash. It's all about what you think you'd enjoy more. Do you want a frequent small treat every day or so or one large one when they're all in? No wrong answer. Just enjoy.

I'm saving mine, but that is mostly because I've got other things I've needed to spend time on (making masks and garden work) and I don't want to get distracted by all the candies! I've already got a crazy plan for them this year - and I'm excited to get to work on it.

Here is my list to date - with the newest at the top

It's been beautiful spring weather here. I've been taking the girls outside to play everyday and I can tell that all the extra vitamin D is doing everyone's cabin fever good! I wish I had a green thumb and could plant some flower beds and bushes. I love flowers.

We bought a used commercial zero turn mower for Hubby and he's been turning our little lot of land into a lovely estate. It's a huge step up from our old mower that was breaking down several times a season. DH has even taught our daughter Katrina, age 4, how to drive it! Sitting on his lap, of course. She absolutely loves it.

NZQ, you brought back some fond memories of my Dad letting me drive the mower he had when I was very little, with his help of course! I'd almost forgotten that. DH has a little Cub Cadet ride on mower we laughingly call "the tractor". DH cuts our two acres like he's driving a big machine. We've never had the need for a ride on mower until we got the cabin and he enjoys using it for all kinds of things: pulling downed trees, carting gardening supplies in the cart he attaches to the hitch, moving rocks, you name it. It's so funny.
