Did this swap already get off the ground? I saw a quilt I want to do with black and white bricks, and would love to get in on this if it isn't closed. :-)

We tabled it for a while since everyone was so involved with projects and swaps.

Looks like we need to get this going! Anyone that wants to join, please pm me and we will get a list started.

Sign ups by 12/30/09, bricks to me by 1/31/09 and then back out into the mail as soon as they are all received.

    Ready, set, GO!

    I'm in for 2 sets.

Okay, so the rules post says this is a swap for 5 sets. So... if a person says they are in for 2 sets, does that mean they are obligating themselves for 10 sets of bricks, or 2 sets of bricks? Just wanna know, before I commit!

Thats a good point. I am in for two sets. I understand, it is 5 fq's cut into bricks which will make about 75, and so this would be 10 fqs cut up and sent. AND return postage. We keep one brick of each fabric from BOTH sets for ourselves. Right? Joanie

I for one will wash. I think it says somewhere in the swap rules that we're supposed to. I know there are different thought processes on this, but seems to me if we all wash, we won't have any surprises when the quilt is done, with pieces shrinking etc, while the one next to it doesn't. Plus, then any of the blacks that might bleed won't ruin the quilt from being unwashed prior to sewing. Bricks are not fun to prewash once they're cut. I'd probably lose half of them... they'd go to sock heaven, with half my socks!

Please count me in for one set of five fat quarters. I will send you a private message. Thank you for doing this swap :-)
