Wow that is a lot of fabric for a newbie to have stashed already. Good Job. It is all very nice and I would love a friendship block made with any combo, but I am partial to cats so the paws would be lovely. That is a great block for practicing "matching" half square triangles.
btw, Sugarman is a very handsome fella.

Me too! Well, I didn't get married on Sunday, but I do have a thing for even numbers. It's very mild OCD! :-)
In the back of my mind is the thought "I'd love to do two sets" but I'd have to buy more fabric and finances won't allow it at the moment.
I'm still looking for a block.... I had thought to do something that relates to my country, but am having trouble finding something! First thought was to do the Southern Cross (the stars on our flag), but no one has invented a pattern for it yet. Will keep looking!

FOUND ONE!
Well, not exactly.... found a picture of a block, now I'm going to have to try and draw it to make it!
Our national symbol is the Silver Fern, it's what our sports teams wear on their jerseys, and funnily enough it's silver (or white) on black.
So, my block is going to be the fern..... in black and white of course.
Oh.... of course, this is IF I can create a pattern for it and make it easily enough! LOL

I rock!
Man I wish you guys were up at the same time as me, I end up talking to myself! LOL ;-)
Here's my block.... (I set it on point in EQ, so ignore the other bits.)

I just ordered EQ6, haven't received it yet. I am looking forward to playing with it.

Thanks! *blush*
I'm feeling really chuffed, I've never designed a block before.
Pam, EQ is just fantastic, I absolutely love it. You will do amazing things with it, I can tell! ;-)
It will print out templates if I want to make this the normal way, but it would be a bit of a nightmare to create. Drawing it on some violene and then sewing down the lines is a breeze! So paper piecing it is. :-)
