Is anyone hand piecing or is everyone using their machines?

I voted, too! BUt, I couldn't really see much about the quilt, I just trusted all yous opinions <g>! Anyway, I checked out the link, and followed to a close up of the quilt .... WHOA, mama! That lady did a lot of work, and now to find out what she was awarded - - she EARNED it. I am so glad that you brought this opportunity to our attention.

    Me too! :D

I'm glad you said this, because mine is definitely simple.
I sat down to sew them together yesterday and realized I had cut all the blocks that were supposed to be 3.5 in. , 2.5 in. instead.  So off to buy more black material today.

Oh well, I guess I can stand another trip to Hobby Lobby. Humm I wonder what else I might find>

Maybe you can 'salvage' them by adding more background?

Thanks for that idea, Sharon, if it was just for me I would try and sew onto them, but want to do them right since they are for all the great quilters on board here! And the blocks have been amazing. Mine is simple, so I should do it right.

I will save them and maybe use them in the boarder when I finish my quilt though.

Yipee.... My black and white fabric came in the mail today and I have picked out the blocks I want to make. I'm going for 2 sets. But I said the same thing for the blue and white stars. :? I also already found the back ground fabric I want to use for my black and white sampler quilt. :-)
