Thinking hard about this one....very tempting.... One question, when you do the swap and recieve your blocks, do you sew them all together to make a quilt? Just wondering if all the asian prints will look alright together? I am a dummy about this, but I really love the asian fabrics...even went a bought a few to try the blocks. Also 12 blocks at 12 inches each will only make a wall hanging, right? HELP...I am confused!

If you go to the pattern page on Quilterscache - page two of the pattern shows a possible layout for a quilt. The quilt as shown is about 66 by 72 - which is a decent sized lap quilt.Originally Posted by Jenni M

Thanks craftyone for responding to this question. I love how everyone in this swap is so encouraging of all those who are in it and to those who are thinking of joining. On a different thread (so to speak) when I swap the blocks, I do try to put like or complimentary blocks together. That is why I specified the black center....to ensure that there would be more that blend together.

I think color 1 ( the one that you cut the 6.5" sq block ) takes 3/4yd

I've been calculating fabric requirement.
I came up with 0.5 yd Black and 2/3s yd each color.

We are up to 26 with three confirmed of doing two sets....29 blocks total so far. A couple of quilters are seeing how the first set goes, then deciding on if they want to do multiple sets.

I have my first set just about ready... this may be a silly question, but do the sets have to be identical?
