I was legal age at 18! But that has nothing to do with acting like an adult!

Kassaundra, Thanks for your kindness in looking at the fabric in the design helper. I'm not quite sure how to use it. It didn't make sense to me, maybe because math is not my forte, but I bookmarked it. I guess I'll keep looking...

I started on my Boom 20 top. I haven’t finalized the block layout, I mostly wanted to make sure I made the correct setting blocks.

I will do a few borders too, but that will come later.

Your quilt is going to be beautiful, Maude. I really like your setting. I see my block.

Ooh, your quilt is going to be amazing, Maude. Really love your setting, especially the way you used different background colors. Going to save that setting for future reference!

I put my Quail (peach birdie) blocks together and was able to get two big lap quilts... each 50" square! I think they are so beautiful. Everyone really hit the ball out of the park this time. I love the blocks! Will show the finishes once I get them quilted. Should be soon.

I got totally bogged down by a queen size quilt I've been quilting on my new machine. Of course I wanted to try the harder stuff, to learn the machine and practice my hand control... so I've spent nearly a week quilting this thing! Finally I'm nearly done. After this one I'm going to do some simple quilting!

Maude - Love your quilt - I love your settings and colors. I just may be using that setting one day - thanks for sharing.
sewbiz - I can not imagine what fun you are having and how hard it is to learn a new skill. Keep it up and show us all the progress you are making.

Oooh Janice, that might provide inspiration for the next names.... Margaritas and Pina Coloda? Chardonnay and Merlot? Gin and Tonic... I could just keep going.

I've decided for the second Boom group I'm going to use some pretty Christmas fabrics I have that are the same(ish) colors. Going to make Christmas donation quilts for hospital patients who are shut in long term over the holidays. Our group does this every year and they are really a hit. So I picked these 4 fabrics, plus the small one in the center. Everyone will get one of the 4, and then a smaller piece of the center fabric, to give the quilt cohesion when all assembled. Can't wait to see what you all do with these!
