Maude here is your finished block. The background is lighter then it looks in this pic. I was glad when I saw I got the fabric I wanted, then thrilled when I counted 6 repeats in the F8.

Just wow Kass. It doesn't even look like the same fabric. I didn't even notice the star in the center at first. You are able to transform fabric into such beauty. Thank you!

Glad you like it. I really thought that star would stand out more, but even in person it doesn't "jump" out at you.

Kass, another amazing block. That looks great!

I have made a practice block using the pattern Lover’s Knot. I’m starting out simple. Today I plan to start making my blocks for our group. Here’s a pic of my sample block.

I even have the fish all swimming in the same direction. (A last minute thought as I was sewing the little squares on.

Great block, love how much impact a little fussy cutting makes to blocks, your fish and your water batik going in the same direction really make the block extra special.

I've moved on to beer. I thought what connects beer and cigars ............................ maybe a dart board? The block I'm making is inspired by a dart board, but not going to be a real visual dart board, just kinda abstract reminds you of it, hopefully.

Well the dart board turned out a little more abstract then I had planned, you might need a few beers to see it, lol. But the poker chip I think is spot on, and that little bugger took as long as the whole block w/ that thin bias strip.

I was trying to use the linear placement of the glasses to make concentric "circles" like a dart board, but they didn't cooperate as much as I had hoped.

Had a great time of fellowship with friends and now I am very happy to be back home and hearing my Bernina hum. Joan - I loved the blues (mom said I matched them nicely!!) and these blocks went together smoothly. 50% of my stash is blues so I am drawn to those F8 first!! It is white on white not cream!!
