TGMA, your fabric is all so pretty and it will be even more fun to use with the quilt sayings! Can't wait to get started.

PamelaOry: I have used FQ's for swaps but unless they were generously sized you will rarely get 2 cuts large enough to send out.

Janice: Poor Connie I hope she feels better soon.

Good morning, Boomers. There’s dense fog in my neck of the woods. Perfect time for a little piecing.

Late next week I’ll post names of sign-ups and see where we stand with groups. I’m the meantime, please start prepping your fabrics. 100 percent cotton, washed, pressed, full selvages removed and cut into 11x18 inch pieces. And be thinking about your color requests if you want them. Try to be clear and concise but not too specific so as to make it difficult for your fellow boomers to fulfill your wishes. Some boomers use paint chips as a guide and may enclose a range of workable shades and colors. Others just say to use their fabric with any colors you like. Also, Our common shorthand: WOW=white on white, COC=cream on cream, and BOB=black on black, f8=fat eighth (11x18 inch only) and FQ = fat quarter.

Here's the first of my two Quail quilts done and donated yesterday. The second will look just like it, but with the other 9 blocks. I love these blocks. Was going to do an allover stipple for ease and speed, but the blocks just cried to be individually quilted like I always did with QAYG. This looks identical to my last several QAYG boom quilts, but it was all connected and then quilted on my sit down longarm. You ladies did an amazing job with the blocks!

SBG that turned out beautiful, someone is going to love this quilt!

Has anyone heard or seen any posts from Jaba? I hope everything is ok, maybe she is busy getting the garden planted.

I don't remember seeing anything recent, but her profile shows she was in QB today.

Yes, I’ve heard from her. I think she’s just a bit swamped right now. I’m sure she’ll be in touch soon.

In the meantime, any newbies out there? If you are and are fence sitting, let us know. We’ll be glad to answer any questions. A lot of us will. Probably info overload.

Yes, it's strange not to hear from Jaba in this long.

Thank you Cheese, for the nice comment on the quilt.
