here are the last two blocks, now they are packed and ready for mailing.

Joanelizbay - not sure what the name is, I am working on getting over my fear of 1/2 square triangles.

(second photo) I had trouble with the first block I made, even though it is a block I've made several times for some reason it came out 1/2 inch short and it was paper pieced so I couldn't figure out how to fix it, luckily Joan sent a big piece of fabric and I had plenty for another block. I will use this one in a charity quilt.

Very close to 60 1/2 square. It should finish at that size but due to a little wonkiness, I’ll have to square up a bit smaller. Also, 2 border sections will need to be adjusted. They’re a bit too long on the short side of the trapezoid so neither lies completely flat. Oops! Easy fix. I’m very pleased though. I’ve pulled out another BOM from 2008 that needs finishing, too. The setting is more involved but I should be able to QAYG. It’s a Marti Mitchell made from those templates that I absolutely hated but the blocks are wonderful.

Mona G, I’ll fix the gallery. Thank you for pointing it out. Love all three blocks. The first one for Joanelizbay looks perfect! Too bad it came out small. How do you make your HSTs? I usually use oversized squares to make two at a time and then cut them down to the exact size needed. It works perfectly as long as I cut them down so the diagonal seam hits opposite corners. I mess them up if I use triangles.

Good evening friends,

Productive day today in my sewing room...

First up for Hav4boys - made me think about snorkeling with sea turtles in Galapagos this summer!

Next up for Moonrise. I didn't have enough of your fabric to fussy cut four squares, but fortunately I had some deer hiding out in my stash. Hope they fit in with the rest!

And for Sewbiz, I think this is the fourth block I've made for you this boom and by far my favorite!

And while I was in the Christmas mood this one is for Annt59

And a paper doll block for Terriamn

And last but not least the brightest block I've ever made for Cheesehead!

Lovely blocks, JayneW! I’ve fallen behind with the gallery but I’ll try to catch up this morning.
