Well for a change I have some fabulous news to share. Was approved for surgery today, as long as the cellulitis continues to get better. So happy I can hardly contain myself.
DarcyShannon enjoy your time at the beach I am jealous. Great blocks and I would also need a speciality ruler to make the half square rectangles. Terrific wild thing block.
Vikkim a couple more excellent blocks, love the colors in the tennis block.
MJP dynamite dress block.
Outstanding block The Merklefamily, thanks I love it

Sooo...just for information gathering purposes...would those of you interested in the next Boom prefer to have it come sooner or later? ( Sorry, couldn't resist.) I'm considering starting sign-ups in late June with a start date of fabric exchanges about the beginning of July. That would mean that the entire swap would likely be complete before the holiday craziness firmly sets in. Any thoughts? I'm looking for honest opinions. Absolutely nothing is set yet. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? (Again, couldn't resist but maybe I should have... )

Very pretty Janice.
Have been on liquids only diet for 6 days, 4 more to go. Stopped by our local Chinese restaurant and bought just the broth for wonton soup and hot and sour. Had the sweet and sour for lunch, oh my it was so delightful. I was on cloud 9.

Great block for Jaba, Janice. Totally does feature her fabric.
Terri, isn't it amazing how good even broth tastes when you are on a liquid diet?
I was given a small truckload of fabric for charity quilting yesterday. What a blessing! The quilter had died of brain cancer in January and her husband was looking for a good home for it. He was so sweet and generous... wouldn't let me pay anything. I told him I'd quilt the two quilt tops of his wife's that I found in her stash, for free in exchange... but he didn't even take me up on that. Maybe later he will.
There were several large pieces in the mix... like 4-6 yard cuts. I can use those to 'back' so many quilts! Some of this fabric dates back to the 80's, so I've been washing it and folding or pressing it. Now I'm ready to start playing with it.

Wow, what a score, SBG! I love the old fabrics. Last weekend I went to a thrift store and I got 6 yards of an old fabric -- I'm thinking around '50- '60s because it is 36" wide -- for a $1 a yard. It is one of those fabric prints that would make a lovely vintage apron!

Jaba, glad you like it. I'm certain your quilt will be beautiful. And, um, I noticed a little error in the picture that I will fix next week. It's small but I now see it and it will bother me.
NZQ was right, SBG, what a score. I'm certain you will put it all to good use.
Only 3 more blocks for me to make. I know you said not to fuss about the block TG, but that f8 wants me to do something more than a traditional block. LOL. It's the strawberry fabric. I'm still mulling it.
Terriamn, wishing you a calm and relaxing weekend.
