Here's what I've played with this morning.
It's gorgeous out. Sun is shining and it's very warm. Hard to stay inside and sew. But....temps are supposed to drop like a rock this afternoon and we go back to winter. I have daffodils blooming! Poor things will freeze and be gone now. Crazy weather, Ladies, just crazy! To all those in this storm's path, try to stay safe and warm.

You are not kidding about the weather. Yesterday our neighbors took us out on their boat, we sat on the upper deck and enjoyed the sun and warm temperatures. Even the dolphins were out swimming next to our boat. Now today it feels downright cold but we are not expecting any freezing temperatures. Hope your daffodils survive the cold Libster.

NK, you are welcome. . I’m working on your block today.
I planned to go out of town but my auto had other ideas. It seems the coolant leak is not fixed so I stayed home. (7 years zero problems, this is now the third in 3 weeks.). But the worst part is that everyone’s packages are sitting by the front door, completely ready to go, but the shipping/pickup date is already scheduled for Monday. So Monday it is. edited to add: I did finish JayneW’s block. I hope you like it. This is some of the last of my favorite black on black ever, a pretty floral.

That’s your grey in the center. The points came out pretty well. I hope this will suit you. Loved the batik!

Janice! That is a beautiful block. Thank you! I'm really excited for this quilt to take shape. I'm planning on giving it away this fall for a wedding present, but I suspect that I may change my mind and keep it. I love the black you used. It is perfect. Although, I will say, I know that it is one of the perks of being the hostess, but I'm a little jealous of you getting to Boom already!
I did get my tracking number... all is good.

JayneW, I’m happy you like it. All those fabulous batiks are going to make a stunning quilt! I never used to start before you all got your F8s but I gave in this time and the last. Guess I consider it a perk as well. Honestly, the first few weeks you all are going to keep me busy posting blocks so I’ll be spending my free time doing that instead of making blocks. I do enjoy seeing what everyone comes up with though so it’s worth it.

Janice, love the block you made for JayneW and all of Libster's blocks are beautiful! That is such a pretty floral.
I got my number yesterday too. Thank you Janice. If it goes out on Monday, I should be getting my package either Wednesday or Thursday. I can't wait!

Good morning, Laters! I finished NanaKathy's block late last night. The center star is a light grey although it's showing up as a weird blue and grey. I hope you like it NK.

This is one of the few blocks that I started cutting fabric for with no idea of the finished product, making it a simple but very "out of the box" enterprise. For me. LOL.
