Boom 23 - Early Birds 2 month group
#222
Working on my last Early Bird block and I made a trial paper pieced block for GramE. I started to make the block, get 3 6.5 inch squares done and realize I made 3 of the same block. I need 2 of each block. I take it apart, but cannot salvage enough fabric to finish. I am in tears and will deal with it tomorrow.

I sewed all night long! Whew! I am one tired puppy. Got nine blocks finished, though. Below are pics, but they're cell phone pics, and they're not the best in the world, especially considering that they were taken in the middle of the night. LOL! Hopefully you can get the general idea.

Terriamn - I wasn't sure if WOW was meant as an option if a third color was needed, or if it was a requirement. I just used shades of gray, but if WOW is required, I can easily change up the blocks a bit and add it in.
Gotta work on my craft show stuff the rest of this week, since I have a big one on Saturday, but I'll get started on more blocks ASAP.
And now ... I'm going to bed! Y'all have a great day, and I hope y'all like the blocks!

Wonderful blocks, Moonrise! I see two appliqués I downloaded yesterday! When creativity strikes ya gotta go for it. My DH came in and said it’s time for bed to me last night. Hope you are as productive with your craft projects.

Love my bunny blocks, thanks HAV, GramE and Moonrise. Moonrise the WOW was just an option so your blocks are perfect as is.
All the cat blocks are so fun.
Will probably go home and work on my blocks next week.

It will be very interesting I'm sure, he's never had any major surgery. All he's thinking about is what he won't be able to do. I will try to hide in the sewing room....
Love the blocks ladies, thank you all so much. Eye appts. today for both of us, just the yearly thing, getting those squared away before we head to Florida for the winter. Hopefully I can start on Blocks tomorrow, won't be able to see well enough with dilated eyes today
Yes you will, Jaba! We’ve had that surgery twice. Up close and personal for a week or so at least. I don’t know why in the presurgery info they don’t tell you you can do absolutely nothing, but we found out quickly. I was way more wore out than he was after the first surgery. The second we were a bit better prepared. How do people who live on their own manage after having that surgery. DH had to be hooked up to a cooling pack, I can’t remember how long but it was another thing they didn’t warn us about! You two sound like us, alternating illness/conditions!
