I'll be mailing my squishy today. I've had them done for some time, but for some reason I got the idea we weren't suppose to mail them yet, so I was holding off. Not sure where that came from . . .

I spent most of the weekend playing with Christmas fabric. Got blocks done for two throw size quilts, ready to be sashed and sewn together. I brought in some of the other Christmas quilts to swap out for those I have hanging in my office. Not much is going on at work this week so I've got time for some redecorating in the office.

Macybaby how fun, I love all Christmas fabric. Hope ou Sahara with us your finished quilts.

All the bread is made for the holidays and in the freezer, my new to me recipe was chocolate peanut butter zucchini bread. Oh my did that smell wonderful. Pretty excited my youngest dd and granddaughter asked to come over and make cookies. Should be a fun Friday.

Still making masks but for a little break working on a fun Santa miniature, might actually be finished for this Christmas.

I pulled out my Christmas fabrics and started making stockings. I bought the Accuquilt die for stockings and am cutting away. It's like a light bulb went off in my head and I will make stocking with a small stocking stuffer for most people on my list this year.

Good morning, Flurries. Hope everyone has some nice holiday plans you’ll enjoy even if it’s staying at home and making a nice meal for yourself. Maybe there will be some time to quilt or piece. We expected to have our grand and her parents here but lo and behold, they called this morning and the baby and mom have colds. We took this as an omen they should stay home, so they are. Better safe than sorry. We’re deeply disappointed anyway. DH and I will have lovely dinner with plenty of leftovers.

Have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

We are staying home by ourselves. My daughter is coming out this afternoon to pick up something so it will be one of the shortest visits ever and no hugs with the grandbabies . That will be the hardest part. I have stocking I made and a couple toys to send her way for the little ones and only a check so she can get something for her kids from me. She will take another check to her older sister who is there all the time since they only live blocks away. ( and stockings).
I will make a very small turkey with trimmings for us for tomorrow. It is thawing now. This is surely a beginning of a Thanksgiving to remember. (or forget). May every one here know the blessings of the day and be thankful for all we have been blessed with throughout the last year. Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

We’re having a small turkey this year. We found a 12-pounder. I’ll be baking an apple pie soon, sipping on cider as I chop apples and roll out dough. My niece and her SO are joining us. They live close by and have been my only contact with family since February. We will be eating outside, spread out. It’s supposed to be 70 degrees here in the desert so it should be comfortable.

Hope everyone stays healthy and safe🍎🍏🍗

Happy Be Thankful day! Today at Bible Study the minister asked us to think back on this year and if there was something we had prayed for and were thankful for- something special. Well that certainly had our minds churning! I leave it there.

DH, mom and I will be sharing a 13lb turkey, with all the trimmings (scaled down). Have been getting stuffing and casseroles ready. I love watching the parades on Thanksgiving morning and usually thankful I am not in the crowds. Macy will have an "unparade" with out all the people so it should be very interesting.
When my DD went to college - we didn't have the funds to fly her back for Thanksgiving, so she went home with a friend - and oh my the phone call we received. She cried because they didn't even have turkey - nothing she was remotely used to. So we began a new tradition. When she came home for Christmas - we had an open house New Years Eve day - with Turkey and all the trimmings available. All her friends came by and it was wonderful. She and her family will be here in AZ for christmas - so we will celebrate thanksgiving also!
