So glad Bill is doing well. And thank you Janice for another fun and successful boom swap!

Good to hear Bill sounded better. My sister has been a widow for about 2 years now and one of the gentlemen down here has been very attentive to her. Last night we had dinner together and it was an enjoyable evening.

Just received text that my blocks should be delivered today. Very excited

This is the little sewing nook hubby made for me.

Good to hear that Bill is doing better. My blocks arrived and I could hardly wait to play with them. They are all so pretty. I have so many quilts to get made and I have blocks from the last 3 booms to work with to make at least 3 quilts. I should push the button and get them done.

That's a great little place to sew! And soon you will have your blocks to put together... yay!

It's so sweet that your sis may be finding love again.

If anyone is still reading this thread... I finally made the baby quilts out of my blocks. I just love how they turned out. Thank you all so much for choosing such great patterns to make with my 30's fabrics. There is one more quilt not quite done. It's like these but I sashed it with pink gingham. So here are the first 3, and the animal print is a vintage children's print from the 60's that I used for the backs.

Just beautiful! How did you make them so poofhy? What batting did you use?

    Thanks Annt,

For most of my charity quilts I use a 5oz polyester batt that I get by the roll from Marshall’s Dry Goods in AR. It is not densely put together, so even tho it is on the thin side, it poofs like that if you quilt minimally. You will notice I didn’t use any background filler stitching, just left the negative spaces open to puff up. The batting holds air so it’s warm but still lightweight. I love it.

These are beautiful. I love seeing your quilts and you do great work. I haven't even looked at my blocks to begin sewing them together yet. You are an inspiration.
