It can be done. I will have to find a 2nd color to go with what I already have for the swap.

Default Fabric

My fabric, I am asking no green be added other then the 5 “ square some of you will be receiving for the accompanying fabric. I plan on using the green for the sashing. Everyone will be receiving a 5 “ square of a complimentary fabric that I hope you add to your square. Please use tone on tones, thin stripes or a tiny print in the darker and or lighter purple. Thank you

Sounds like you all figured out a plan!

Terri - your fabric is so pretty! It will be fun to see it in person!

If we sign up for two spots, can we mail them together? I’m all about the thrift!

Terri, love your fabric and am excited about using it.

Yes, real estate is hugely inflated here in Memphis. The reason DD and SIL sold their house was because they found another one first. They found a real “unicorn “... a 101 year old house in Midtown, a very popular and beautiful part of Memphis. It feels like Natchez MS to me, with all the huge old mansions. The house needed new sewer, roof, wiring and HVAC. Also a lot of remodeling and ripping out walls, kitchen, etc. They love this kind of challenge and are good at it, so I expect this house to be amazing when they get done.

To be able to compete buying a house now you need to make an all cash offer, about 30k over the asking price. I made great offers but have missed out on 3 already. Would love to find a little house here. My daughter’s house was in a class by itself because it needed so much work that no buyers wanted to touch it.

Sewbiz if hubby and I were smart we would just live in our new camper for the summer then head to Texas the first of October for the winter. We would come back for a few weeks at Christmas. Next spring hopefully the market will have settled down and we can start looking again. We talked about a fixer upper but have pretty much decided against it. Just not that enjoyable at our age. We are looking an hour outside of the city and even there the prices are inflated and homes are selling in just a couple hours after they have been listed.

i do wish that we had a couple of our ducks in a row.

I have my baggies filled with assorted christmas F8's. I put notes in them just saying to use traditional Christmas colors with most...some I prefer to stay away from the background colors. I use my baggies over and over when I do the booms. If you place your fabric in the baggies as the size of the baggie, they lay very flat and snip a corner off the baggie so the air will release, they ship better.
Sounds like everyone is as busy as I tend to be, so this is a great stress releaser.
I will do the swap in any manner you choose to do it. I have 19 bagged and ready to go.

As always, you can ship however you wish to me but if I cannot squeeze both sets of blocks into a single bag, I’ll have to go to a box or two bags. I cannot guarantee to use a single bag as everyone packs the blocks differently. Let’s all pack small!

I'm getting my fabric ready today. I've decided to do a patriotic quilt this time so everyone will get a piece of a red, white and blue fabric. You can do whatever you want with it. I can't wait to get started!
