May birthdays went out with today's mail. Let's hope they all make it to their destination.

Beautiful blocks, Lib! Love mine! It will add some great color and movement to my quilt.

Hav4, I think you meant to post your message in the birthday candy swap thread....

Log Cabin, sorry about your finger. Shot sounds painful. Hope it fixes the trigger finger.

Good afternoon. Spent several hours going through the blocks I’ve received so far. Great job ladies! However I did discover that some blocks were made too small but that person has been contacted already and we’re working on a solution.

But I have a question of you all. Would you rather receive the blocks as they are, some 1/8 to 1/4 inch small in one or both directions and fix them as you see fit, or would you rather me return them to the maker for fixing and possibly delay the swap? I don’t think there’s a one size fits all solution. I’m curious how you all feel. Please feel free to email me or pm me with your opinion. Thanks!

I think I'd rather fix my own blocks. Hopefully not too many...

I'd also rather fix them if need be. I know when they are smushed up in the ziploc bags sometimes once ironed it is all good, a little mist and it can be fixed. And if they are scant, I can make things work with sashing. BTW nice blocks posted! Hugs all!

Libster, I love my pinwheel. Perfect, it looks like it could be moving in the breeze.

LC. I hope you thumb gets better. I had an injection in my hip about a month ago and it was heaven to be able to walk around with out hobbling or clinging onto furniture and living on Ibuprofen. It is starting to loose some of it's effectiveness but still not as painful as during the Holidays and the beginning of the year. I will meet the the orthopedic soon and we will be talking about options.

I will have to get my final blocks done ASAP. I was just asked to teach a second online class starting in May. Yikes! Now do I plan the classes or sew my blocks. What a quandary! May be plan the remaining blocks and sew them between grading sessions.

Janice, I would rather fix my own blocks.
