Aren't sergers supposed to sew that zigzag that quickly?

I love shopgoodwill.com too! I've picked up twin Singer 99k from there and then I looked up their serial numbers and it turns out that they are sister machines, made from the same batch of 99k with the same date. Pretty cool!

SBG, and anyone else curious about the layout I used, I found it in the back of Quiltmakers 1,000 Blocks book. I think it will become a go-to layout design for me. It was definitely fast!

We had our first dusting of snow yesterday. And all the kiddos have come down with pink eye and/or ear infections. Why is it always on the long weekends that they get sick? Anyway, doctor appointments are now on my Monday morning schedule. Sometimes I wish that we parents could write our kids prescriptions! I know exactly what they need, but just need a doctor to sign off on it.

NZ, so sorry your kiddo's are sick, I remember those days. Thank you for sharing the location of the layout you used, I too found your quilt stunning!

Spent Thanksgiving here in the south but will be heading back to Wisconsin this week for Christmas. My Boom blocks were sent to Wisconsin, and I see they arrived safely at the post office. Can't wait to get to see all of the beautiful work you all have done.

NZ -- you just need a pediatrician who trusts you to make the call. I don't know that they exist anymore.... Maybe a teledoc appointment would help instead of dragging all the kids to the doctor? So sorry!

Good afternoon. I’m playing with my Boom 32 blocks, trying to decide on three more to make to have enough for two 12 block quilts. I’ve decided on two but the third eludes me. I’m also looking at settings rather than just a simple QAYG. What I really want to do though is play with something new but I’m trying to hold firm and finish at least one quilt before moving on.

NZQ, sorry to hear the children are ill. Hope the pink eye resolves quickly once you get those meds.

It’s only in the low 40s now and getting colder again. Twenties tonight. Stay warm if you’re in a chilly part of the country. Brrr.

Sorry the kids are sick, NZ! Hope everyone recovers quickly.

Yesterday I decided to put some Boom blocks together into tops. I still had the Party Animals blocks from the last swap sitting around, so they went first. Then I started working on the yellow Lorelei bee quilts.

This is the first finished Party Animals top. There will be another one with another panel I have, plus the remaining boom blocks. The colors are just amazing on this one!

Sorry! Here it is (I hope!)

Janice, don't grab it just yet. I ran out of the sashing fabric and have to think of something else to put all the way around the quilt. I will post again when it's done and ready for it's close up!

Has anyone heard from All2pieces? I’ve got a couple of emails in to her but no response yet. Guess I’ll be calling soon. If you read this A2P, check your emails and reply please. I’ve not shipped your blocks because I need to hear from you!

DS has just arrived at the airport. DH is picking him up. They’ll be here in about 90 minutes. Woo hoo.

Break over.

Any update on All2pieces? I hope she is well.

A2P replied to some texts so we’ve been in touch. That’s nice of you to ask.

I spent so much time in my books, magazines and looking online for blocks to make that I only got one fully made, a Churned Star, and a second almost done. But it’s been a fun day. Haven’t spent a whole day in the sewing room for what seems like eons.

SBG, your top is looking good! So cheery. I look forward to seeing how you finish it.
