NZQ, I guess I missed seeing the block you made for me sometime during my trip to Memphis... Went back and looked and I love it! Thanks so much and sorry it took so long to say 'thank you'.

Hav, love your blocks!

Janice, the Swoon is definitely swoon-worthy! Your quilting adds the perfect texture to make it twinkle! AND... I found mine! My daughter closed her vignette and moved out the building, and my Swoon was in with her inventory. I had forgotten I'd tried to sell it there. So, yay! One Swoon finished and one found!

I love that quilt, Janice! I still have my 1800 2 1/2” squares from the birthday swap.

Good evening. Thank you all for your nice comments about Swoon. I’m so pleased it’s finally quilted. Now to find a binding and move onto the next UFO. I’m thinking of trying some hand quilting on a table runner I made nearly 20 years ago.

Reminder, you still have until May 2 to get your blocks to me. That’s 6 weeks. Anyone wishing to ship their finished blocks to me now, go ahead as I have no plans to go anywhere for a couple of weeks. Be sure to label each baggie with your name and double check your block sizing. If you find errors, please fix them. And don’t forget return shipping money if you didn’t prepay. If you decide to ship, please send me your tracking number.

Have a nice evening.

I will take you up on that and hope to ship this weekend or Monday. I will send you tracking when I do.

Thank you for all your hard work, Janice.

Very nice blocks Have4boys. That pumpkin fabric looked challenging. I like what you did with it.

GramE, I have thousands, too. When I complete more UFOs, I’ll start a new candy project.

. GramE, any word on when the implant will be permanently placed? Hope it’s soon.

It’s another pretty but cool day outside. My main job today is to plant a small rose bush in a pot in the sun. I might have to move it in and out a few times before we stop having freezing temperatures at night but that’s ok. Actually DH will be doing that. I’ll supervise! I need to settle on a binding for swoon, too. I don’t think I have the perfect fabric but I must have something that will do.

Hope you all have a pleasant weekend.

Well, for me it can’t come soon enough. Hubby is X’ing the days off the calendar. Wednesday at 9:am. I’m looking fwd to having a clearer mind and a body that’s at peace. I do believe God is answering many prayers through this surgery. If I understand correctly, Lafayette is the only place this stimulator has been approved and marketed since Feb ‘24 and is only being offered right now in Lafayette just 60 miles from me. And my neurosurgeon is the only one implanting them so far. People are coming from near and far to Lafayette to get relief and here it is right in my lap, so to speak. I’ve only been seeing this dr since January. My previous pain specialist retired last year. The amount of relief I got with the trial implant was very unexpected, 75-90% relief. Then they take it out and make you wait 3-4 weeks for the permanent one. God is good. I’m Trying to be patient.

Just a couple of minutes after I hit post I got my “reminder” from the surgery center that they are expecting me Wednesday @9am! We are a go, Houston! (That’s astronaut lingo)

GramE, you will be in my thoughts these coming days. It’s so hard to wait. May you get the best possible outcome!
