Yeah way to go Janice on the closet!
Your PT sounds so painful, you are amazing!
Driving into the cities today to spend time with middle granddaughter.
We will be heading to the lake tomorrow. Haven’t spent the night at the camper yet. Lots of vacuuming and reorganizing will need to be taken care of. When we bring the slides in for the winter we also bring in the Japanese beetles and flies that were on the roof. As long as there were no mice and there wasn’t I don’t mind Spring clean up.
On Saturday we have been invited to a fish fry potluck. My brain isn’t in to summer foods yet so I decided to make rice Krispie bars, they are always a big hit. I don’t know if I mentioned that our towns one grocery store has closed and what a pain that is. No running to the store for forgotten or last minute items. Will hit a grocery store on my way home from the cities today.
Tuesday we had 3 1/2” of rain and yesterday had another inch boy, is everything soggy here. A welcome change

Hi Gang. Still in Memphis. GD’s kindergarten graduation yesterday was so sweet. All of a sudden she is a big kid. Where did the time go? She came home with me for the afternoon, while little brother napped. They both think it’s just the bomb to come play at my house. I’m grateful for that.

Congrats to your GD on her graduation! Charlie has hers early June.
Got over 11k steps today (didn’t plan it!) and my knee is feeling good. We’re going to dip down to the 40s the next couple of mornings. Brrr. Hot one day, cool the next. Strange.

Oh how sweet, I remember the grandkids kindergarten graduations.
Had a lovely afternoon with granddaughter Abby and her little sister Stella 14, even graced us with her presence. Really enjoyed my time with the girls and was second guessing our move away from them and the beautiful city of Minneapolis. Then I said my good byes leaving for home at 3 to avoid rush hour traffic. Oh my goodness I jumped on the freeway and proceeded to idle through totally stop and go traffic for 30 minutes. I am not patient while sitting in a car and especially in heavy traffic. I turned the radio on low, had a discussion with myself to just breathe and try to relax. If the car ahead of you moved 4 feet and you didn’t immediately move to follow it someone from another lane would cut you off trying to get that 4 feet ahead. Let me tell you small town living was looking might wonderful when I got home.
Hubby listened to me rant for about 5 minutes and said how about I take you out to dinner so you can relax. Said sure and off we went. About 10 minutes later our closest friends walked in the door. It was so weird when Scott said yes Nancy had a frustrating day and I thought she could benefit from going out to dinner. What a coincidence.
We will be heading to the lake this afternoon to spend the weekend there. Time for a good spring cleaning!
Does anyone have a favorite dish that they like to bring to pot lucks?

I love to make desserts, but so do many other folks too. I often chicken out and buy a bagged salad and add what ever is in the freezer/frig/cupboard then grab a bottle of a dressing or make my own. I add frozen peas, chick peas, any cheese on hand, fruit (canned, fresh or dried) and a protein that is on hand, (tuna, chicken, ham, kidney beans, bacon bits). What I like is that a salad does not require space in a fridge unless it is sitting for a long period of time. Easy peasy and it is what "I" have on hand.
My second choice is a nice crusty loaf of oatmeal bread and a stick of butter. Again, no refrigeration and can be made a day ahead. Who doesn't like homemade bread? No, my bread it isn't gluten free but it is a treat for me and I love to make bread.
My third choice is pie, any kind made from what is in season. Most of my potluck friends no longer bake. I do! I rarely take home leftover pie.

TG one of our friends in Texas always brings deviled eggs and she always brings home an empty plate. Love them
WMUT great ideas, love the oatmeal bread one.
In the summer my favorite to bring is caprese salad with homegrown tomatoes. If we aren’t having a fish fry everyone loves my sloppy joes or goulash but I am looking for some different ideas. This time I made my girl friend’s Rice Krispie bars but always have to double check that she isn’t making them or no more recepies for me 😵💫. Mt favorites to eat are the salads, love a good salad. Another favorite of ours is chunks of red, green and yellow peppers with cream cheese spread on them with Everything but bagel seasoning.

WMUT what a delightful thought.
i snuggled under my quilt and was just falling asleep yesterday afternoon and the next door neighbor stopped in and weed whacked and mowed his lot. I was not a happy camper! But it was beautiful here, no wind which is very usual and our other neighbors joined us for a lovely fire and we watched the clouds. They were so fun and unusal.
A couple days ago hubby put all my flower pots out. They are still flowerless but a big ole bunny hopped around each one, standing up on his back feet looking into each and every pot. Can tell lots of marigolds will be needed. The bunnies are one of the main reasons we have gone to container gardening. Cute little buggers but boy do they have an appetite

The fish fry was a success, one of the fellows who just retired last summer has decided fishing is go to right now and we all appreciate his new hobby 🥹. It was a little different then usual lots of vegetables and salads which is a great enjoyment for me.
The may flies are out, the nasty buggers only live 24 hours, can’t bite you but they swarm you in get in between your glasses and eyes and don’t taste good at all.
Very nice here 2 days in a roll. Enjoy your Sunday
