SBG -- beautiful Christmas quilt!

GramE - I love your block title! It is going to look great in the Santa quilt.

My Sunday has come and gone with nothing but cutting accomplished. Sorry everyone.... you are going to have to wait to see the blocks I have planned.

Hard to believe that some of you are sending packages to Janice already. Good job! Does this mean other quilting finishes are in your future? I sure hope so. Keep those pictures coming!

Have a great week everyone!

MJP Love your Halloween book party.. I have four Dia de Muertos quilting items. MJP will you explain what Dia de Muertos is

The gal who runs one of the committees we are on in Texas asked Ralph and I to take over as chairperson. She said she has some medical issues and I said sorry there is no way I can handle anything like that this year with my depression acting up. Turns out she is also going through depression. How very sad. Then she looked at hubby and he no for two reasons. He wants nothing to do with managing people since he retired and with Terri not being that stable she is my first priority. Ahhh

Still hotter than Billy blazers here but our new HVac system is working great and at least it is cool in the house.

I went to my big guild meeting today, and everyone loved the Christmas Boom Quilt I brought to show them. We had a huge potluck after the meeting and will be adjourning until January, due to all the holidays. It will be nice to have some time off to work on other things.

Have a nice evening!

This cold weather is not making body adjustments very easy this year. And I’m off my sedative because it was causing too much confusion. But I’m sleeping in the daytime again! I’m still waiting on some doc to prescribe a pill for winter!

Anyone have an app that helps adjust block sizes? I had a block picked out and was gathering fabric tonight when I realized it is 9”! I set it aside for tonight but I’m still trying to find the 12”. I’m guessing it’s something new, I think from Moda6.

Sorry GramE I can’t help you on the sizing. Wish I knew that also.

As you all know I have complained about the post offices here in southern Texas are always horrendously busy. Well the birthday candles from the birthday swamp had to be mailed this morning. Hubby was concerned that the plan was for me to go alone and first sign of panic grab the ice pack and leave. Told him I had to try. Drove there as mentally prepared as possible and I was the only one in the place. Most of the winter Texans aren’t here yet and no one was there for passports. Still glad I was prepared

One of my Christmas cactus was looking pretty bad, cut her way down before leaving for Texas and noticed last night it had a bloom on its stubby little leaves. They are so beautiful when they bloom.

Going to be 100 today that means too hot for the pool and a pleasant day of sewing

Hope the majority of you are enjoying cooler weather

Cool but sunny here in the mitten. The cloudless blue sky is making the perfect background for the copper, gold, burnt red and yellow leaves with plenty of pine greens to show off the autumn colors of our woods and fields. Frost for several evenings but warming to the mid to upper 50's during the day. No rain until Friday and that isn't supposed to be much.

A good time to catch up on stitching, leaf watching, raking or walking outside. I choose walking and stitching in alternating chunks of time.

GramE, can you make the 9 inch block then add a coordinating border to bring it up to 12-1/2 inches?

I’m at retreat. Just had lunch and am taking a little break.

Hope you all are having a good day!

That is an option I hadn’t considered, Janice. Thank you.

I've been cross stitching like crazy this year. This is going to be for my grands. I'm almost finished.
Beautiful cross stitch, I love the pattern

Great block

Then we serve dinner out on the driveway, soups and watch the kids trick or treat. A few kids don’t like it but most enjoy being able to pick out a book. Kids tell “It’s the book house!” One 12 year old girl said to her friends; “This is my happy place”!
I love the idea of giving away books, so cool.
