Oh, Terriamn, white out conditions! Glad you made it home safely. Better get new boots asap. Hope the funeral goes smoothly.

Tomorrow we might see temps in the single digits. Not looking forward to that. brrr.

Terriamn - That is a fast transition from TX to MN! I'm glad the weather was ok until the very end. Driving in white out is stressful, but you did it!! I hope the funeral is as positive an event as it can be. I am sorry for your family's loss. The sunset picture in Kansas is beautiful! You have a good eye.

SBG - I am glad you are home safe after your adventures in Louisiana. It sounds like it was as joyous as it could be. So you and DH had antiques to shop for? See anything good?

Janice -- You are going to be FMQ a ton now that you have access to the machine!! Congratulations! You are quickly ramping up your quilting techniques. Selfishly, I am waiting to see your end products.

Wow it is cold here -5. BRRR. Minnesota has had a lot of snow already this year. People with snowmobiles are in there glory

The funeral went well, like Sewbiz said it was like a family reunion. Nieces and nephews we hadn’t see in years lots of hugs. The minister made the service a true celebration of Bob’s life. We had a luncheon of Bob’s favorite meal, pizza and Caesar salad.
it was a very pleasant afternoon

Hope everyone is staying warm

Terriamn, it is cold in the mitten too, 3 degrees when I left for church, but it should be in the upper 30's to near 40 by Wednesday. I am begging for snow to pretty up the landscape for Christmas.

It is so encouraging when a time of mourning is turned into a time of celebration with family. Your family planned the luncheon well. His favorites and a memory maker for all who attended.

It’s a pleasant night, cold outside but toasty with our feet propped up in front of the fireplace. We’re down at the cabin. The wind is howling but not quite as cold as WNC is right now. The music is on and Ernie found himself a warm little spot so he’s content. All is right with the world in our little place on Earth right here.

Terriamn and SBG, I’m glad your families could come together and made the most of the funerals. The silver linings.

Have a nice night wherever you are.

Nice to be home but it’s a bit confusing. After baking my 16 loaves of assorted pumpkin bread and banana bread in Texas I keep trying to reach where the spices and cooking ingredients for my cookies in all the wrong spots. By the time we leave I will remember where everything is at.

Some friends stopped by to visit yesterday afternoon, they had heavy socks, jeans and sweatshirts on. Couldn’t believe I was in capri’s and a short sleeve shirt. It felt wonderful to me with how warm I have been from my meds.

We have about a foot of snow, looks beautiful but once you are off main roads there is an ice base from a storm a week ago that started out with rain. The temp is already up to 17 but there is a cloud cover so doubt if it gets as warm as they are predicting the ice still isn’t going to melt.

Just heard back from my quilter and she has finished my 2 quilts and is mailing them today. Can’t wait to see them.

Janice enjoy your cabin and nice warm fire

Terriamn, laughing at your reaching for things that aren’t where you expect them as I’ve got the same thing at the cabin. I reach for dinner dishes every time in the wrong place and pots and pans aren’t where they should be.

Home now from the cabin. It was a 48 hour turnaround. Short but sweet.

Monday my KS son comes in so the next couple of days will be readying the house and he won’t care a jot. He just wants a couple of his favorite foods, to enjoy the dog and hang with us for a few days. He doesn’t mind if a dust bunny is lurking beneath his bed. But I do.

We’re going out for Thai food as our cupboards are a bit bare. Enjoy your evening.

Oh Janice I love green curry when we go for Thai but that is only when we go into the cities, nothing like that in our area. Should check in Texas. How fun to have your son visit and make his favorite meals. When my kids come home they want tater tot hot dish and dh’s chili. You can’t ask for anything easier to make

Accomplished most of my doctoring today. Nice to fit it all in one day but that didn’t help making cookies or wrapping gifts. Had 3 cortisone shots at the ortho in my shoulder, two hurt like heck but were tolerable. Oh my the third was just plain nasty. Might not be able to quilt Mia’s quilt so as not to aggravate the shoulder. I will have to see how it goes.

Today was a heat wave the temp was up to 43 today, hoping it’s warmed up some for Cheesehead and WMUT

Yup, warmer today in the mitten state, Terriamn. Got up to 32 degrees today.. Tomorrow should be warmer but really windy, so the wind child will keep it pretty chilly. I spend most of the day working on a UFO and making bread for two potluck events tomorrow. The condo smells sooooo good. Love the scent of yeast bread baking.

Terriamn I can relate to those shots. If they don’t hurt — they won’t work!
Just got two shots for my trigger fingers. Hopefully that will take care of it.
