Pretty star for TG, Janice. I'm hoping I have some of those colors when I get to her block. Already found the pattern I want to make.

Ernie sure is a cutie! Hate to think of any dog being mistreated. Grrrrr...

Ibex, have a very safe trip back to N.O. The Emergen-C is working!

I’m going to wait to do TG’s second block. I’m going to try one more LQS for coordinating fabric.

We didn’t realize immediately that Ernie had been mistreated. He still reacts to hands approaching his face and if you try to move him, he will react poorly and show his teeth until he realizes what you’re trying to do. Poor guy. Apparently he’ll never completely forget whatever happened to him, or rather it’s just ingrained in him. That’s sad but he gets the best treatment from us and each passing month he’s a little less reactive. He just loves being with us and we love him. I’m so glad we saw his pic on the local animal shelter adoption site.

I’m working on another block but it won’t be done until tomorrow, probably. I like it all except for the center. I need to change it up.

Ibex safe travels.

Janice the terra-cotta fabric you chose really enhances TG’s fabric

SBG, I grew up in St Mary parish, very near where Swamp People is filmed. I remember fishing and swimming in the same bayous in the 60's. You won't see children doing that any time soon.

All, my best wishes go out to those ill and recovering. And thanks for all the wonderful eye candy posted here. Happy Labor Day.

Our neighbor's dog, Thor, was mistreated by a man before they adopted him. He hated Paul and barked like crazy whenever he was outside. Well, Paul started giving him treats (along with Sammy next door) because he's often in the back gardening. Now Thor wags his tail the minute he sees Paul. It's so heartwarming that he's won him over. Both Sammy and Thor are great neighbors!! And they sure love Paul!!

Happy Labor Day to you too, A2P, and all of our Roses! Isn't that something that you remember St. Mary Parish from the 60's... I know the gator population has exploded there since then. With all the gators they pull out of those bayous, there are still too many. My favorite character on the show is Willie Edwards. Love all those Cajuns/Creoles and their strong sense of family and hospitality. Their feasts are just amazing.

Nice to see that your husband's kindness has won the doggies over!

Today we have no holiday plans, so I get to delve into those baggies and play! I have all of my block books at the ready...

I go to the dog park every day. The majority of the dogs are mutts and rescues. It is amazing to watch the transformation of these pups. Some come in so shy and fearful but with time and love from the humans and the dogs they become able to be pet by the humans and play with the other dogs. And it amazes me to watch how our dogs help the traumatized dogs.
Worked on one of JaniceMc fabric and of course had to make her a star. I do love the blue centers. Hope you like both.

I have been trying to accomplish the no waste flying geese with the help of the two tutorials you posted. The scant 1/4" got me at first, and think I got that licked. But when I piece them together I am still loosing the points. Oh well, time to work on something else and come back to it!
