mjp - what a wonderful carousel. your husband designed it marvelously and you executed it to perfection!
moon - looks like you already have volunteers, but I keep and use all sizes of scraps and crumbs and am happy to take anything you offer. Hope your grand is doing okay!

Anyway, it's a surprise because right after the call, I cut 4 of the blocks at 3.5" when they should have been 4" and had to get on the struggle bus to get the block anywhere close to correct. Definitely surprised when I found out I had cut the squares incorrectly.

Good Mother's Day morning. Hope our mothers have a lovely day however you wish to celebrate it. Mine is going to be a quiet one, probably spent in the sewing room cleaning up after the Boom. Time to get moving on quilting a top or two.
Reminder, Hav is requesting white along with her two fabrics.
Moonwork, I'm glad your granddaughter is ok after her accident. Lucky girl! Pretty block for Terriamn and it looks like you pulled off a winner.
I'm another one who will take scraps anytime, any place. I usually check the guild rehome table for the scraps. They're easy to find as they're passed over by most of the other quilters. I've been bringing yardage to rehome and am happy to take away a bag of scraps nobody else wants.
Thank you SBG and LStew for your suggestions about where to donate smaller quilts. I'll make some phone calls.

We just entered Tenessee and the sun is shining, something we didn’t see much of in Florida.
Yesterday we ended up walking several miles checking out old Pensacola, the buildings were fantastic, so many have been restored, Bit we had only planned on going to a couple of antique stores and wore flimsy sandals and both of us sure regretted that.
I hope everyone is halving a pleasant day and Happy Mothers Day

I got a questioning email about Hav’s colors. To reiterate, yes, on her polka dot fabric Hav has requested white be used with the two fabrics she sent. As for the butterfly fabric, please use black along with the yellow piece and the butterflies. Hoping I didn't confuse everyone!
Having a pleasant, easy day. I pulled out two partially completed tops from the batch of fabrics I received from my friend. I’ve cut the batting and once I finish attaching the border on the blue, I hope to quilt and bind them quickly and send them off to PL. Aren’t these two adorable fabrics?!?! Those fish! I’ve got yellow backing to match the fish for the one on the left but must dig through to find something for the right one.
