It was very easy. Bamboo kabob sticks really came in very handy when working with curves.

When I google robbing Peter to pay Paul I get a block much more like a cathedral windows. Where is your block from? Is it from a book or a site? I would like to make it.

Katy - Robbing Peter to Pay Paul came from Quilter's Mix and Match Blocks, A Comprehensive Handbook From Leisure Artscopyright 2004. It has over 200 project ideas 50 12 1/2 in blocks with directions. I use it all the time. All the blocks are pieced.IT IS A GREAT BOOK. I have seen the pattern in another of my quilting books but I do not remember which. If you want to really know, I will do a search.

When I saw the name I visualized a completely different block that has rounded sides so since I was confused I googled the block name and the one in mymind was what I found. So I became confused. Actually that is not true! I am a blonde and I am ALWAYS confused! LOL. I HAD A FRIEND WITH ME WHO WAS INTERESTED IN making it and we could not find it. Sorry about caps. Am a quilter who works I special Ed not a secretary. Lots of blocks have two names so maybe there are two blocks with this name. I will have to look around. I may even have that book but don't think so. Does it go by any other name that you are aware of ? Thanks for taking the time to respond. Sure hope I have a prize in my mailbox when I get home!!!

The Robbing Peter to Pay Paul block gets its name from the original tqo-color format where each square seems to "borrow" half of the adjacent square. When the blocks are set together, the pattern formed by the four adjacent corners recreates the original central block in reverse coloring. Most quilters are more familiar with the curving Drunkard's Path or orange peel pattern called Robbing Peter to Pay Paul. The earliest publication for the original pattern was 1898 (Ladies Art Company #154) and an alternate name for the block is called Arizona.
