Marytoddliz, you can mail me a little snow just for Christmas. Quilter momma I received your F8 and my beautiful block. Your gold fabric matches mine very nicely. Thank you.

Everyone else I have been working on the blocks in between going to chemo and radiation appointments with my DH. He has been so sick the last few days. I don't know what to do for him and it is so hard to see him still losing weight. Thank God I have him drinking ensure and boost to keep his norishment up. Thanks for listening to me. It makes me feel better knowing I have all of you to talk with.

I am not sure if I will be hosting the Boomerang swap after this one is done. I feel like I am loosing touch with you all because of life. I do not like to let anyone down and that is all I have done lately. I tried to help in another swap and have had the hardest time finding the rows and now the owner is upset (which I understand but I did not do this with the intention of this happening) Such is life I guess. Time for me to admit life has won out over my "upbeat" attitude.
Huge Hugs
April
I'm sorry you are having such troubles right now but I hope you are able to continue hosting swaps. I haven't been a member long but I've found you to be extremely organized and so helpful to all of us. I'm sure we all understand if sometimes life gets in the way and even though you think you aren't quite up to your usual high standards I don't feel let down at all. I'd be happy being half as good as you on my good days!

I hope things are better with you soon. Thanks for all the work you put into these swaps.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemy when we think we are not living up to others expectations. Taking one moment at a time is the best way when life comes at us hard. Lovingisabella, you hang in there and with all of us doing our part, we will get this swap done and be ready for the next one.

April, I am also so sorry to hear of your troubles, I do hope things go better for you soon. This has really been a fun
experience and I think my quilting skills have improved quite a bit since I joined.

My only frustration was with the board changing. It was tough keeping up with the fun of the group while we were all trying to learn a new system. I know that change is a part of life, and so I have managed to find my way around the new boards, but a lot of the chatter died off with the change and I did not spend as much time as I should have figuring it out.

I honestly like a lot of the changes, I like the album ability, it is much easier now. I still have not quit learned how to maneuver through the forums still, but that is my fault with the Holiday activities it makes taking extra time to learn impossible.

Ok with that said, I am so happy that I did this I want to try again, only I think next time I will have a lot more ideas on how to be ready. I guess it is like having a baby, you have to go through it once to appreciate the details! ;-)

Hi everyone! I am still on Vacation in WA and having a wonderful time with friends and my precious family! It has cut into my quilting....I'm sure it will still be there waiting for me when I get back home! Please forgive me if my blocks and acknowledgements are slow in coming. I will try to get caught up soon after I get home in Jan!
April....hang in there, girl. Our love & prayers coming your way!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you here on the QB!

what is an lp quilt? is lp for linus project i wonder. yes both blocks are very colorful and would add a spot of brightness to a child's quilt.

What is the Linus Project? I have never heard of it.

We are making some quilts to take to the VA hospital. My Husband is learning to quilt and he has completed his first one. All by himself! I helped as he had questions and the best part is now he has a better understanding of some of the problems. He made a patch quilt with just extra fabric.

When I am done with a project I usually will cut the scraps into different sized blocks or strips, so I have lots and lots of 6 1/2 in blocks. I will take a picture when he is done.

I really have a lot of 2 in blocks, I know I want to do a scrappy quilt but waiting for the pattern to "hit me in the head"

Right now I am going to update all my pictures of all the blocks sent and received. So you should be able to see the blocks by the end of the evening (I hope )

Blessings, Marybeth
