project linus is a volunteer organization that donates quilts to needy children. there are chapters around the country. you can google to see if there is a chapter in your area. quilters make quilts for children and give to project linus to distribute. here is the link to read about them.

Has my grown up blocks gotten to any more people? I mailed them a week ago. Heard from a few. Mailed my f8s with them as well. I should hear from about 25 more people.

Quiltermomma, your block will be in the mail tomorrow. Maybe you'll get it before Christmas.

Quiltermomma, your block is on it's way home, I posted a picture in my album if you want a peek. I also posted your block. My Albums should be all caught up. Except for names, I am having trouble putting names on the right blocks!

Default Boom 5 Swap blocks completed.

Ok, I think I have the photo thing going now thanks to Lynnie25. I finally focused enough to read her directions. Worked. Here is my Boom 5 quilt I made. Could not find the thread anymore for my region so posted it here. Maybe Lovingisabella can direct me when she is up to it. I like how it turned out. Showing a block on the quilt and the back for the quilting. Had a couple of mind blockages when I did the corners of quilt on border, but other than that the design worked. I like it hope my BIL will. So now I have another set of blocks to do for a man, nephew, so will get on those. I have time, he does not graduate until May. If I get busy, will be done on time instead of BIL which is 1.5 years late. I have made several inbetween, just could not get motivated on this one. Thank you for the beautiful blocks for Boom 5.

nice quilt quiltermomma. did you do the quilting or have it sent out? your blocks play well together.

well no completed blocks lately for me. i have received 9 completed blocks to date of the 31 f8's i sent out. it looks like there is gonna be a mad rush in january to get blocks completed by feb 1. happy sewing everyone.

p.s. if anyone feels now (or later) that they will not be able to complete this swap, i would like to have my f8 returned. the f8's i sent out were collected over a period of time and i will not be able to replace them.

I have been remiss in letting everyone know what has arrived. Recently, I have received beautiful blocks from janetlmt, JoyceD, sheysmema, and QuilterMomma (along with her F8). Will try to get pictures posted soon. Thank you all! The folks that got the soccer fabric are still ahead in the number of blocks that have been returned with 9, striped pegesus/zebra have 5 returned, and the tennis fabric has had only 2 come home.
