Issy, I was telling my friend that I was going to make you a block for GD, well, we made 2. One from her and one from me, but we both worked on both of them. I did the cutting and design, and she did the sewing. I hope she likes them, they are pink and purple. Will mail them tomorrow with the other 5 blocks. Yea!!! This is FUN!!

Okay everyone
Just my usual friendly reminder I was working on blocks this weekend and even though I measured and squared I had a block come out the wrong size so back to the drawing board I went. It is very important that we check our block size before mailing it home. They should be 12.5". One of the best rulers one can have if they are in the boom swap is the 12.5" square. It is one of my best friends lol.
So again I ask just to please make sure you measure your blocks before sending them home. We want to make sure everyone can use their blocks.

I'm heading home today (been gone 3 weeks without my sewing machine). I can't wait to get back to my projects! and finally get going on y boomerang blocks!!!
I'm really looking forward to getting our mail from the Post Office since I know I will have hit the jackpot--- receiving all of your F8's!!! I'm so excited to see everyone's fabrics and can hardly wait to pick the patterns I will make and choosing matching fabrics (in between cleaning and unpacking the motorhome, tidying the house for a meeting Tuesday night, and doing the endless laundry from our trip!!).
Definitely taking my sewing machine next time.

OK...Sounds good. I'm sorry I haven't gotten it yet. I have the "red" already picked out for it. It is a fabric I SWORE I would NEVER use for anyone!!! But from what I've see, it will be the only one that will be PERFECT with yours!!!

I've received the following blocks today
Veronika

quiltingnonie
My f8's going in the post over the net three days (on the last Boom I post a load of blocks together and only half of them arrived at their new homes so don't want that to happen again)

Hi again! About an hour or so from home now--been driving all day(actually riding as my hubby drives the 40' RV)!!
Anyway, I forgot to mention that I am having carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand on Monday, April 2nd. I had the same surgery on my right hand in Dec 2007. The doctor told me the surgery is easier now---smaller incision, less bulky bandage, shorter recovery--so I'm hoping I'm able to get back to making my boomerang blocks quickly. But wanted to let you all know that it'll take me a bit longer to get all the F8ths made into blocks for everyone.
