So true!!!! Yes, retire and become a professional quilter.

I am carefully gathering my BOOM swap blocks and other CW swap blocks. I can already see 2-3 quilts out of the beautiful blocks I received from this swap.

I received this beautiful block from Quiltermomma - I love the fabric and the star pattern - it looks really difficult to me but this will be a treasured block in my quilt. I am considering this swap closed - missing two blocks - wishing those two swappers well and moving on - I hope to get the blocks laid out and put together before the middle of February - thanks so much everyone - can't wait to see the fabrics in Boom 9 swap. If you want to see the exquisite work of quiltermomma - go to November DQ swap page and see the DQ she sent to me...it is Wonderful and soooooooooo me - I just love it!!!

Tam Moo...I love that block! She did a good job on it. Its really not that hard a block to make. NO paperpiecing If you want the pattern I can send it to you. I have several variations of it.

Actually, use Eleanor Burns ruler and itis even easier than that. Her rulers help you trim it to just the right size. The hardest part for me on that block is to be sure and put put right sides together to cut the diagonal pieces. That is the one part I miss at times and have to recut. I is that reversing stuff. My brain has issues with it. She also has you cut strips, then cut your pieces from there. check it out on her website.

LOL QuilterMomma..Im glad Im not the only one that has trouble with the pieces being cut right! Not sure how many times Ive re-cut but I save the wrong ones for the next block..IF I can remember how to cut them the next time!
I like to watch E Burns on TV..she cracks me up! I have a couple of her triangles that sure come in handy. I hate to start a new project because as sure as I do April will send out the names of our partners and Ill be anxiously waiting by the mailbox to see what wonderful fabrics you all choose this time! Hope I get some of the "red" for Dad!!

I sure hope the rest of you received your grownup blocks. I have not heard that you haven't so I am calling them all received, plus none have come back.
