Your welcome, are you making one quilt from them? I'm gonna make three. I can't wait to start working with them.

I am looking for the post where I said your block ia on the way....according to my spreadsheet I recieved your block but I have not mailed yours to you yet. Actually it is cut and waiting patiently to be sewn this weekend! I am sorry if I posted it in error but your block has not been mailed yet so no worries about it being missing.

I recieved a beautiful block from Susiequilts today...thank you so much. It mixes so well with all it's friends!

Ok for those ladies that have participated in this boomerang and will be participating in 2.0 I have 2 questions...
I have accidently cut 1 yard of my fabric into fat 1/16ths instead of 1/8. Should I send 2 of the same fabric in 9x11 (1/16th of the fabric) or should I send 2 different fabrics?

Of my (6) 1 yard cuts I have done this to only my first. So I am wondering how I should do this? and what is the actual fat eighth measurement?

thanks
Nancy

Tink,

I would be fine with 2 F16's ... I can generally locate patterns that would work.

What I did this time around was take a yard of fabric, cut it into four 1/4 yd. pieces, then cut down the "fold" (lengthwise center) of the fabric. That gave me 8 F8's. They should measure about 9" x 22". (ladies, correct me if I'm wrong here, please?)

Well, that's how I did it, anyway. Hope this helps.

if you received 2 fat 16ths would you prefer they be the same fabric or 2 different fabrics?
Just curious so I know how to figure it out. I also googled what are the measurements of a fat eighth and they are 11x18 according to this website I found http://quilting.about.com/od/stepbys...t_quarters.htm
Thanks for the info....

11x18 is the correct size :) You cut a fat quarter in half ONE way. (On the 22" side).

I am not sure yet if it will be one or more! Waiting to see how the blocks fit together. I sent out two different fabrics, it has been neat to see the blocks coming back! This swap is AWESOME. FUN FUN FUN
