Christmas Ornament Swap 2014
#702
Mine went in the mail today.. Have had them made for a week or so, just couldn't get to the PO.Tracking says they should arrive Monday, 17th. They say from Christmas Elf. Hope you enjoy the little extras, not much but something all 'sewers' can use.

Both my packages are now winging their way to my Swapees. One is going waaaaay north of me -- and one is going waaaaay south of me -- and I'm here smack dab in the Midwest middle bidding them goodbye. I won't post pictures of the ornaments, because I included my recipients' favorite themes in the designs, and I don't want to spoil the surprise of Opening Day. Sure hope they like them!

no ornys arriving here yet but anxiously awaiting them. I did nt send any "extras" in my orny packages--afraid i just didnt think of it after finally finishing them with all the times I redid them. i hope my swapees understand they come from my heart as well as my hands.
these hands have been busy lately---did those fingertip towels for a future DIL Xmas gift, have one pillowcase embroidered for another future DIL for Xmas, one side of QOV quilt to finish binding and i got the Grandpa quilt layered, on frame and one block quilted. http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...72-498816.html for peek at Grandpa quilt just to keep you from going crazy wondering what I mean.
Its not the quilt pattern name--just going to the Brat's grandpa for Xmas since she helped me get the top sewed by laying out the 9-patches in order while i sewed them together.

Oops! I meant Prize Patrol. I woke up at 2 this morning thinking about what I actually wrote. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, all the better! Happy Saturday!

Good Morning all. Nice to see that Ornaments are flying and landing. Mine went out earlier this week. Oh OH OH, I also had a package in the mail from Australia waiting on me yesterday. I am always excited when I get packages but the ones from other countries and/or Continents really excite me. People living in them areas always have access to fabrics that us in the states dont. Love it. Anyway just waiting on opening day to see my pretties.
Now, to address concerns about what you put in the package. I agree with all the others. This swap is for one ornament per partner. If you have extras in there great, if not then that is great also. Some of us have been doing this for a while now and have lots of stuff in our stash. When I started I didnt have a stash so I didnt send extras. I have since collected little items from here and there and just put them in my swap box that I have just for that. Little things like inkpens, notepads and such are always great. After all we all use them and if you are like me you use them often and usually have a time finding one when needed. LOL

I am spending the day doing some tidying up around here, nothing big. You know laundry, a couple of dishes, and sweeping then the rest of the day is gonna be spent listening to my oldest sons playoff game of the radio. They are 4 hours away from here so couldnt make that trip to watch. While listening to the game and for the rest of day I will be sewing and working on my SS package. All of you are welcome to join in the fun if you would like to have a last minute quilt along. Grab something and get to sewing with me. Pics of your work done today will be welcome also.
Now onto my day, I will check in every so often. Have a great day.

Due to life, mainly my job, I have not posted much to this list.
I just wanted to let my swapper know that I received my ornament. So if your initials are PH and you live in CT your ornament arrived safely. It is sitting on my bookcase waiting for opening day.
