I saw on the news last night where the big tree is going up in New York City. I am excited to watch the big parade on T.V. this year since I am not making the thanksgiving dinner, cleaning and setting a table. No interruptions just fun and watching all the fun entries. Ah, the simple life.

I posted my ornament last week, and then today discovered the card! So if you receive an ornament from Western Australia, you wont know who its from, because the card is missing, I have put the card in the mail today! The only hint I will give is that you live in CT.

I have also received my ornament, but have left it at my mothers house so that I am not tempted by it!

I received my package from my swap partner and am waiting patiently for 'opening day'. How many remember the Mervyn's commercial, '. . . open, open, open. .. '? So excited!

I received my Christmas Ornament today, nowwww the wait. I went to a craft fair today and got a wonderful bird that kind of looks like an owl. It has a bow tie and hat kind of "Old English" style, in beige and grays. I like a little something new every year.

Your leader is still here. Was called out of town again this weekend as my sister wound up back in the hospital. She is a single mother and needs help with the kids as she has limited resources for people in her area to watch them; that isn't going to cost her more than she can afford. But I am once again back home, and I brought the kids with me. The hard part is their school, but I sent a good portion of the day on Monday with their principles explaining the situation and due to this wonderful thing called the internet we were able to work everything out.

Laquinta, good luck on the foot surgery.

Jclinganrey, love the ornament.

Now to catch up on all the PM's and post our next contest.

Default Contest #3 - Deadine November 20th

Tell us all a story about your favorite childhood Christmas memory.

My favorite memory is when my father dressed up as Santa Claus one Christmas Eve. I remember I had just went to bed and my Mother came and said that Santa was here and if I wanted to see him I needed to be real quiet and go downstairs. As a walked quietly down the stairs following my mother she whispered for me to look around the corner and too my surprise what did I see, Santa Claus sitting in the chair eating the milk and cookies that I had put out for him. As he saw me peek around the corner he invited me to come forward and sit on his lap. Then as he left he told me that I should go back to bed and have a good nights sleep so I could get up in the morning and open my presents with the rest of my family.

I actually went looking for the picture, but couldn't find it. If I have time, with the kids here, I will see if I can locate it and post it to the board. I really need to organize my pictures.

What a sweet story, Anoka!

My favorite memory was of putting up Christmas decorations with my family. Dad would put the lights on the tree (the old big bulb kind) and then we kids got to help put the ornaments on. The whole process, the colors of the lights and all... just filled me little heart with joy. I remember making up songs with my sister as we danced around the Christmas tree.
