Its great that you'll join us for the cyber sew....I've learned that I need to take down the smoke detector when I'm trying to learn something new...my vocabulary expands and blue smoke comes out of my ears.. Somehow it always works out though.. Its a great time for you to learn both Paper Piecing and Applique!

Hi Klue, Do we need to purchase the DJ book along with the software? I'm going through my lessons now. I do ok as long as I follow each step in the book. Hope it gets easier as I go. Hard on an old brain to study so hard! Ha!

i find the book to be of very little help to put together a Jane quilt.

its really more of a day journal of the author's life (not even jane's life).

the book doesn't even have good pics of the original quilt - the software has far superior pics than the book.

so, as you can see, i'm not a fan of the book and see no reason to buy it.

I finished my 2nd set of 18 blocks today. I tried to post a picture of them once and failed. It's been a while, so I have to relearn LOL.

It's a simple 9 patch, so I decided I would fussy cut it to show off the stars in the forest green fabric. The stars are gold, but the color doesn't show up well in the pictures. The 'red' is burgundy with a mauvish pattern.
