    December fq swap

Description: This will be a monthly swap. You will sign up each month and you can choose each month whether or not to participate. You will be given a random person to swap with and that person will change each month.
Each month there will be a different theme or color that we will swap. There is a limit of two swaps per person.

**Each person will swap 5 fat quarters that go with the theme or color of the month.
**FQ's can be purchased or can be from your stash but they must be 100% cotton and they must measure 18 x 22 inches (standard FQ).
**They should be 5 DIFFERENT FQ's.

For the month of DECEMBER the theme isWINTER. It can be patterns, designs or colors. This is different than Christmas fabric. Think snow, snowflakes, ice skates, mugs of hot chocolate, mittens, silvers, blues, sparkly like snow, winter activities, etc. etc.
Since there isn't a whole lot to this swap, the turn around time will be pretty fast. Sign up until noon on December 3rd, receive person's name and address by December 5th and mail out no later than December 15th. Participants are required to PM me when they have received their FQ's and are required to post a PM thanking the sender. You don't need to let me know that you have mailed.

*When you send your FQ's please be sure to include your board/screen name so that people know whom to thank.

If you would like to participate please PM me with your board name, full name and address and the number of sets you would like to do. Two set limit.

Please see the rules for all board swaps and PM me with any questions. This swap has been approved by the admin.

I am, excitedly - I think that's a word, joining this swap. It sounds easy enough for me to figure out what to do and a lot of fun. Like everyone else I will immediately start looking for fabrics!

OOPs, forgot to add, I would love to do 2 sets - thanks!

OK. I just sent my PM for December FQ's. I love this swap. I have been doing a block each month with the FQ's I get. It gets my creative juices flowing. So much fun. And easy enough for us beginner (less than a year) quilters.

I'll have to pass on this one. I mostly have Christmas/holiday fabrics in my stash. Not just Winter ones.

ok everyone listen up here: DO NOT POST YOUR FULL NAME ADDRESS HERE go to the person who is leading the swaps name hold the cursor over it options appear to go private message and in that is where you post it. I think most if not all of us are good people but a search for your name will pull up your messages here.. if you post your real name and if it pulls up this message you posted it will also show your address that you listed hence why we do it in private messages. Its really easy and its so much safer for you. Honest. I am glad to see everyone joining here. I am new to this swap and last month loved it so much I have already dug into the stash of fabric that I received and used it! I am going right now to pull and cut what I consider winter fabric. there is so much interpretation there. And Ny gal I could always use a bit more Christmas so maybe if you ask you could be lucky enough to be paired with ME and it would be ok with our dear fearless group leader? I am sooo happy to be accomidating if I can

Ditto to everything Elisabrat has said, PLUS, you maybe need to read more carefully the first page of instructions which states to send a PM to the hostess (Brenda21) AND then once you've shipped and received, there are again some PMs that need to be sent. Failure to send those PMs could result in your not being able to play again in future months.

Jaba, If you have to get more fabric so you can have some, get some extra for me, too!!
