The recent batik block swap was successful and fun for all. You may join this swap whether or not you participated in the first one.
Before joining, please read Rules for Swaps and Similar Activities, which you will find at the top of the list of swaps.
Description:
12-1/2 inches UNFINISHED Batik Sampler Blocks
Please use only 100% cotton batiks, pre-washed (required) and before mailing your blocks, please square and measure them to be sure they measure 12-1/2 inches square.
You make 12 blocks, all in the same pattern, although you may use different color combinations. By the mailing deadline, send the blocks to me along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope with return postage in the same amount required to send the blocks to me. Please be sure to include adequate postage.
I will send you back one of your blocks and one each of 11 different blocks. If you wish to combine the blocks from Round Two with the blocks received in Round One, you should carefully select your color and pattern combination for the blocks you submit.
Please mark each one of your blocks with a slip of paper pinned to each block, or alternatively a sticky label, including your screen name and the block name. Your real name and/or location are optional. Please do not package the individual blocks in baggies or any other wrapping.
If you want to make multiple sets, just make sure you have 12 blocks of each pattern. You will receive back as many as you send.
Sign-up closes December 31, 2010, but if necessary due to high enrollment, it may close earlier.
The mailing deadline is January 15, 2011. Please do not commit to the swap unless you can meet this deadline.
I will mail the blocks back out approximately January 31, 2011.
To be added to this group activity, please send a private message to Dagny.

I have already added the names of those of you who have expressed interest in joining this swap. If any of these are in error, just let me know by PM. When you have selected a block, please PM me and I'll add that information also.

I've been intriqued with this block, Golden Wedding Ring, for some time, so I will give it a try for this swap.
