i thought 30 was cold but 8... i would be frozen, i am not ready for that yet. i am binding this weekend while DH goes off to shoot the wild white tails and then they are off to their new homes. I have an idea for January but its going to take brain power i dont have right now, and i have to figure out how to angle it in to what ever the theme is.

Last night I had the window open about 4 inches. The temp was
in the low 50'sto mid 40's.

It started snowing last night and still is. the current temp is about
14 degrees, with a high about 18. A winter weather advisory has
been issued. They say we can get 2-5 inches with this storm.

Friday & Saturday it is supposed to warm up to the 30's, and Sunday
it will be up to a balmy (sarcastic tone inserted here) 47 degrees.

Now for anyone who knows me will know I am NOT a happy camper
because I HATE the cold and more so the darn snow. I get cabin fever
very bad and very fast when I CAN'T leave home.

Although staying home is never a problem for me as long as I KNOW
that leaving to go somewhere is not going to be a weather problem or
car not running issue.

Well since we are having the company Christmas gathering at a dinner
theater I guess that I should call my boss to see if I can hitch a ride with
him and his wife and just meet my hubs at the place. Otherwise I will be
forced to drive on the slick roads over 30 miles and meet up with my hubs
there.
My hubs works much closer to the theater than to home. He doesn't want
to have to drive the 25+ miles home pick me up, than driving all the way
back up north to where we are going.

Have a great day everyone.

The DQ on top is from Ms Grace who did a simply beautiful job...I love it! She also sent the sweetest mug rug, note pad, choc chip cookie in a tin, fq's and a personal note...whew, so many goodies. Thanks Ms Grace.

The second DQ is from kwiltkrazy, and for me it is a perfect table topper....very Christmasy..love the faux cathedral window look. You'll notice all the taffy she sent (a bundle of it), some of which dh has already sampled. Thanks kwiltkrazy.
The best of holidays to you both and thanks for partnering with me this month.

Just went to the mailbox and my beautiful little quilt from Linny is here.
She did a great job on it. I love it.
She also sent some pretty christmas fabric and note card.
Thanks so much!!
I already hung the quilt in my sewing room.
And Murphy approves of it!!

LOL! No, but I should have thought of that, eh?? Winter is fast coming here in Western PA as well this weekend. My advice is to have many pairs of comfy, plushy socks. You know, those ones that when you take a step on the linoleum you slide half way across the floor. I live with those on in the winter, cause if my feet are cold, I am freezing all over. That fireplace will certainly come in handy with only 6 degrees.

Love seeing all the pics of the quilts that everyone is receiving. They are wonderful.

Also, don't know if this is allowed to be mentioned here or not, but ThousandsOfBolts is having a $4.95 shipping sale. That's the only time I purchase from them and it is through 11/25/2013 - no code needed.
