Fall Block Swap/So a new adventure begins.

Thanks, Red. Unfortunately I didn't quite have enough of the background to do all five (one for myself of course!) with the same fabric. I was liturally 12.5"x 2" short!! And of course I miss cut at least once. So one of the blocks swapped out will be different.

I have my first set of blocks done except for trimming them down to 12 1/2".
I had to add fabric to my summer blocks so this time my blocks were cut too large on purpose & I have the right ruler. I am working on my second set, will post the first set after I trim.
I'm leaving town next weekend so it looks like 2 sets from me, though I'm hoping I can make another set when I get back before the deadline - I have 2 more patterns/ideas picked out - hoping to whip 'em out (ha) and ship 'em out.

Look forward to seeing pics K-Roll.
I'm not progressing very far with my second set as I am sick at present and keep mixing my fabric placements up - so perhaps I had better give it a couple of days.

K-Roll, hope you have fun. Yes, having the right ruler is definitely a god send when cutting the blocks. But, don't be so hard on yourself. We ALL cut blocks wrong from time to time. You'll get better and more confident as you go along.
Deecee, Hope you feel better soon. Yes, when I begin to start sewing things wrong, I definitely put on hold also. No sense ruining the fabric by ripping, ripping, ripping. I took a simple block apart yesterday 3 x's. But, later in the day, I put together a block that was more complex and it only took one try. Go figure, right?!

Morning girls. I have finally gotten back to sewing a little this week. I am making a purse for the charity golf tourney coming up soon. I am using tula pinks new material that has kitties on it and the Mod Kids pattern Stella. Kind of fun. I have it all cut out and quilted the outside panels. Now to assemble the rest of it.

Anyone else have blocks to share? Do we have enough ladies to have a successful swap, Judith?
I'm aching to make more Fall blocks up, but I HAVE to finish quilting this Bonnie Hunter MQ before it becomes a UFO!

I am real close to the finish line on the purse. Next is to try and see what I can do with my summer blocks. I guess I will need to put up the flannel work sheet to see where it needs the blocks set to. Mine are way different than what has been shown, so, starting from scratch here.
