I usually end up with a mug rug that is on the larger end of acceptable.......well, at least no one has complained........to me that is.........er........hmmmm (lol)

I use mine sometimes and others I hang up. My DH and a child or two have absconded with their favorites, too. They are the all purpose little bit of quilting that all can enjoy for various uses!

I don't care what size they are, I use them all over the house for added decor, especially the holiday ones. These are the mug rugs that I made for judie0624 this month

Thanks for posting a photo, jaba. I love the mug rugs you made!

We're having a great discussion on the preferred size of mug rugs. Anybody else want to share an opinion? We'd love to hear from you!

Dotty I was able to get downstairs today and made your mug rug, just need to hand sew binding down.

I didn't join in this month either but when I do, mine are usually about 6x9. I really prefer the mini quilt swap because I can display those on an end table. When I make my minis, they are at least 12x12 or larger.

Sorry, I'm getting a little mixed up here! (just posted something else concerning a table topper...) It's a mug rug I made, although as I followed the discussion about size I realised that I'm on the bigger end: it measures 9x12"
