My husband went by the post office about an hour ago, and I received my post card from Sleepy Hollow. She created a beautiful star out of the selvedges sewn onto a dark background, and sent a very pretty batik fat quarter. Thank you very much, and my husband will try to put up a picture on here either tonight or tomorrow.

We didn't get to the post office a few days earlier due to weather.

Great card JuneBillie, I can't imagine using those tiny selvage pieces to make a star. Very clever.

Judith I was amazed at seeing that star. It showed me the type of things that could be made out of them. There are some glares in the photos due to lighting against the clear envelope it is in.

My husband also likes the beauty in the batik.
I think someday I need to make him a lap quilt out of batiks.

I agree JuneBillie, the Batik is very pretty. I like the subtle patterns and variation of colors that batiks have. I don't have too many in my stash. Just a small handful. But, they are nice to work with.

Glad it eventually got there. The goodies were to make up for you having to wait for it. Great minds think alike!!!!
