Is anyone else making 3.5 inch blocks? I made one as a sample but I won't make more if no one else does. Most of mine are 6.5 or larger--I could turn the 3.5 into 6.5 though....???

I'll get upstairs to snap a few pix later today.

I like using the 3.5s to fill in spots or I add a sashing between 2 or 3 and add along side anothr block or set of blocks. Just my thoughts.

I think I'd like to do this, and I've sent the link to my sister. We both love Halloween and the fabrics for this holiday are adorable. Thanks for the initiative!

Hi Lingeringliveaboard,

We hope you join us. Let me know by pm when you girls are ready to sign up! We have some great people in this swap. It looks like you are a new user to the board. WELCOME!

Hi everyone! I am sure there will be a good mix of blocks to send to everyone. It makes it fun to have different shapes to work with while assembling the wallhanging /quilt.
Right?

I was looking for some patterns before I sent anything. Now after looking at the posted blocks, not sure mine will measure up. I want to do this and will PM later when I actually get some finished.

Do it!!!! I am positive your blocks will "measure up" - don't forget that the of us posting blocks now are 3 months early. (overachievers!) I am sure that my blocks will pale on comparison to what everyone will come up with by July!

So I was looking around for patterns on spiderweb blocks and the ones I found would not look like a spiderweb unless you had several of the blocks put together. So I found a kaliediscope(SP) block that I think will work in halloween colors of course.

Also for my applique block, what do you ladies think of the witches legs...click the link.

Both of these blocks are 12 inchers, but I do not care about sizes I just want to make these!

I was thinking the same thing... I want to do this also... but have never done applique.... does it have to be applique or can I make a block with fussy cut fabrics?
