Hey Moosegirl, hope you don't mind, but I get a crick in my neck so turned the pic for you. It's great.

Has anyone ever done a cat swap? No, I'm not going to start it. I will keep an eye out if it does happen. :-)
Hey Pamela....there has been talk of a cat swap but I don't know if any one has ever hosted one. It seemed that at the time we were talking about it, there were like a million swaps going on. I might consider doing one after I finish all the IRR tops and get my Dear Jane under control though...it would be fun!

:D

Karen from Purdy, MO

I have been reading about the chicken blocks... so very interesting.. I noticed that you have a new machine. You will love your embroidery machine. I have two that I have had for several years. if I join this swap I will be embroidering my chickens.
Oh, yes, I wanted to tell you that I live fairly close to you. I go through Purdy in the summer going to Table Rock Lake. I grew up on a farm near Eagle Rock. Nice to see someone that is close to home.

Ok, I'm in the middle of sewing down my applique. This is my first one I've ever done. I chose a stitch that is like a V with lines on each side.

Any guidelines with this? Do you match the thread with the colors? Or one thread for the whole thing?

I realize that it's a style thing - but what do most do?

Are you meaning to post this on the Funky Chicken Block Swap II? This one ended last spring but I believe there is a new one currently going on . . . .

Hey Jami...I know you probably DID mean to post on the current swap thread, but I thought I'd throw my 2 cent opinion in on here. On swaps, I usually match the thread to the applique piece or what just enhances the block itself. It will be going in with lots of other blocks.
