Of course we can use ALL kinds of cute dawgs...I'm trying to figure out how do one sticking his head out the car window with a really loooong tongue flapping in the wind. ..

i have been lurking on this thread trying to decide if i have time to do this because i was already making a dog picture quilt on my own. Still havent quite decided, but it sounds fun and i am leaning toward a yes.. here are some of the blocks i have made for my quilt. As i go along i am getting much better at making the blocks. All were found on the internet, mostly by typing in "dog coloring pictures" I have also attached the one i found of the dog riding in the car and a bulldog

Awesome dog blocks! I'm still technically "lurking" too.

it definitely takes a little more time to make the applique blocks than i thought it would. It wouldn't be as bad if the fusible would stand up to washings alone, but you have to make sure all the edges are sewn down ( eyes, teeth etc.!!) But even with all the time it takes it is still fun to see the end result LOL!

Yup, you are right cav...you do HAVE to sew the applique down in some manner...although there are lots of ways to do that! I'm playing now with a "big" stitch...called "applique with an attitude". Its fun and quick!
