I love them both. Where did you find the octopus? I love them. Both would be great to work on. I am leaning to the first so you can send it to me when it is finished for my asian bedroom. ;)

I don't think so, although all the fabric for the IRR centre, was left over from another asian influenced quilt.(attached)which is currently on my bed(winter here).
To answer your 1st question, it's part of a panel at local quilt shop. Was there earlier today, they have heaps left.
If you want I can look up what it's actually named.Or send one to you.

Lindy, Oh thank so much for the offer. I am sure I can find it here. I think I know what line it is just wanted to make sure. I think it is called creation. But if you could provide the name of the maker if it is on the salvage I would appreciate it.

Love the pattern in the log cabin quilt!

I think I found the Octopus on a website, made by In the Beginning, and designed by Julie Paschkis.

I'm sure other sites have it though. I happened to be browsing this one for something else.

Well, I am starting to categorize the blocks into:
Oh, I have fabric to go with that but need an inspiration.
Oh, I know exactly what I would do with you.
Hm, I know what to do but I would have to buy the fabric (darn the bad luck, lol!)
What on earth would I do with you, my little pretty.

For my center, I started yesterday and chose a new method. I'm outlining the basic shape with embroidery stitch and then I have to applique the shapes inside. Not ready to show pic yet. (Haven't gotten far enough)
