Thats a good comment about the International insurance Ligia...when it is mailed from the US to anywhere else, we have NOT been insuring them because it results in the reciever having to pay the VAT taxes or duties. How exactly does that work when mailing FROM anywhere else into the US? It might have a huge impact on mailing issues for everyone...

mhm, i just checked the website from the German mailing service. It is graded per kg. I pay the insurance.
till 5 kg insured shipping to USA cost 35€ to Canada 39€
till 20kg 64€ to USA and 84€ to Canada... the exchange rate to $ is 1€=1,20$
it seems it will become a really expensive international quilt for me at the end....
i will check if i find some alternative mailing services

Holy Fabric Quilters!!!
We so far have 59 people signed up. (we still have 15 more days til sign up ends)
91 had shown interest in doing this.
TONS of centers are going to be circulating around the world!

What about using an "M" bag for international shipping. It's a huge bag that you put the package in and is reduced shipping because it is a bit slower...I've used this option, at the request of the buyer, when selling fabrics on Ebay.

LOL
Then will be the fun of getting the groups done/put together. I think I am just going to randomly pull names out of a hat.
If everyone that showed interest signs up, there will be 18 or 19 groups, depending on if I add another border. Right now, the borders are 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 inches. If I were to add another border, I'd probably toss in a 4 incher in there, so it would be 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
I don't know as of yet, so DO NOT hold me to this!
I'm still working on the sizes for the borders.
